  • Just like going to a Canadian Government office now...except I'm the english teacher!

  • Andrea Martin was the funniest woman on sketch TV. I just look at her and laugh. She was amazing. SCTV RULED!

  • The gag at the end indicates to me this was a sketch they worked on at Second City, Toronto, annd later incorporated into SCTV. I've heard many cast members say they brought characters they developed at Second City to the TV show.

  • I nearly busted a gut!

  • In my opinion, Andrea Martin was the second funniest woman ever on TV. And Catherine O'hara the third. Thank goodness we had SCTV to showcase their comedy.

  • Andrea, you are the BEST!

  • Andrea and Catherine were so funny together. How they kept from laughing at each other, I will never know. Thanks for posting Franny.

  • @CARMSFAV Very welcome Carma. I wouldn't have lasted two seconds without breaking up.

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid. John Candy, Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, etc. This era of SCTV was the funniest shit ever.

    Thnx! :-)

  • this makes me laugh so hard.

  • Classic! Remember cracking up over this when it came out!!!

  • These Women just kill me in this skit!Tooooooooooooo funny!! Martin is great with her twist on language! I love it!

  • Limited budget, limited props, unlimited laughs.

  • Cann oo itarach oweem to na rotoh?

  • @Vincek88 PEEERFECT translation!! you are good!! LOL

  • OMG! Thanks for uploading! This used to make me laugh so hard with "Gangway For Miracles"!!!!

  • hardly can hear this!!!??

  • "Hardly can hear this!!!??" Was that a question?? Maybe you'd like to read my profile before you comment!!!!

  • @mondocaneman: You're complaining about someone else's uploads, yet have no uploads yourself?? Typical!!

  • Any remember Melonville? I loved Melonville. With the tallest building? I laughed at that one.

  • 1:22 is so funny

  • I remember watching SCTV back in the early 1980's and thinking it was the funniest show around. The very end of this clip is hysterical. The Pirini Scleroso in My Fair Lady was also a gem especially the "pussy brinko" line. Classic series too bad no networks are rebroadcasting this show.

  • Pirini Scleroso is another character created from the genius mind of Andrea Martin. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!! I love the one from Sweeps Week when Pirini is the maid at the station. And, the parody of My Fair Lady is right up there with the best of them.

  • Oh man, does this bring back good old memories! Now THIS was comedy!!!!

  • Oh God..I"m crying from laughing so hard watching this. LOL

  • This is a classic. Right up there with "Who's on First?" in my opinion.

  • There was a fake PSA about Esperanto on SCTV. I'd love to find that.

  • Definitely 1976. They re-did this skit on SCTV's first NBC show in 1981.

  • Thanks again Skeeter!!

  • *Thumbs up*

  • Another thank you Skeeter. But there are little bugs in my "Dazzle". It skips and goes out of sync, so have to check it before uploading. It's always something!!! Cheers.
