  • BIG TROUBLE!! in little Chiiinaaaa!!!! haha i love that

  • the 80's in a nutshell

  • the guy behind the keyboard is Nick Castle who played Michael Meyers in the 1978 Halloween and has an uncanny resemblance to Adam Sandler

  • Reminds me of "Now you're a man!!.. A manny man man!! Now you're a ma-haaan!"

  • is that C.Thomas Howell from Soul Man behind the keys?

  • @5KVNQW0RK5 I was going with Adam Sandler's dad.

  • WORK THAT STEINBECK

  • John Carpenter has the Paul Mc Cartney's bass.

  • I'm surprised they never mentioned this movie in Family Guy.

  • @98bigbutt theyve definitely made fun of it in South Park before ive remember hearing them use the line "Play your cards right... u live to talk about it!"

  • Oh how I miss the 80's!

  • Yep..it's like Jim Morrison trapped in a sausage stuffer with a backup singer devouring shanghaied cocaine. Incredible. Jack Burton approves.

  • Anyone who watches and enjoys this video I consider a friend.

  • Cepacil is a hell of a drug.

  • 2:47. Sounds like he is saying it.

  • Everytime I hear them say Big Trouble in Little China, I always think thay are saying something rather diffrent then that. See what you think.

  • 1:43 Adam Sandler?

    LOL

  • This is awesome! John looks like a cross between paul mccartney and tony iommi ( of black sabbath).

  • In an alternate (and vastly preferable) reality, John Carpenter and the Coup de Villes became one of the biggest new wave acts of the 1980s. They are currently reuniting for a nostalgia tour, but only after John finishes editing the highly anticipated sequel, Big Trouble in Big China.

  • @7emichael Is Carpenter really working on a sequel?

  • Stupid ass band? Well, a successful independent directing career, his own band and tons of fans and money over a sad little person who sits at his computer says, ya-boo-sucks-to-you!

  • For some reason the movie and musicvideo is perfect at nighttime!

  • Stupid ass band......really, your a tool.

  • @GearNutJim1188 Says the neck bearded idiot watching.

  • BUT KIM Cattrall is still hot today... hope she gives me a call....

  • OK why does it sound like Kurt Russell is really singing this?

  • @battalionfirechief

    Actually it's not.

It's John Carpenter himself, plus two of his production assistants.

  • @PrinceAntonVoytek Two production assistants? LOL, the guy on keyboards is Nick Castle (Halloween's Michael Meyers) and the third guy is Tommy Lee Wallace (director of Stephen King's IT)

  • @PrinceAntonVoytek It's Nick Castle (director and original Michael Myers performer) and Tommy Lee Wallace (also a director)

  • Adam Sandler's dad LOL. Good call SWERVNKOLIDE! Actually that's Nick Castle who played Michael Myers in the original Halloween so he was actually cool before the 80's came around!

  • adam sandlers dad on keys dick slut

  • This song is real 80s shit. :D But I love the movie. ^

  • Hahaha! How many other directors score the music and sing the theme song to their movies?!

  • how dare you say this is a stupid ass band lol John Carpenter and Big Trouble in Little China can do no wrong :) it was the 80s. most of the videos released in this era were silly as hell too

  • Oh my god! What is that? Don't tell me!

  • 10 people don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Or the black blood of the earth that flows in that hole.

  • 10 are sons-of-bitches- and they must pay.

  • Awesome.

  • ...it's all in the reflexes.

  • I love this movie and song. i wish there were more directors in Hollyood like John Carpenter.

  • Two thousand years and you can't find a broad to fit the bill? C'mon Dave!

  • This music shakes the pillars of heaven!

  • @FreakinSweet86 No horse shit

  • @wipers86

    nick castle, played michael myers

  • @N1kk1L0v3sU thnx for the info man

  • it's crazy how much nick looks and sounds like Adam sandler

  • Imagine a James Cameron band. How could you make up a song about a sinking cruise ship, cyborgs from the future, tall blue natives, or aliens with acidic blood?

  • @SnakeMan227

Shittily and with an inflated budget worth more than several countries, that's how.

  • thanks for posting the vid, but the only stoopid ass here is you.

  • Best song ever written about anything ever.

  • This sounds like a parody by the south park guys

  • Jack Burton loves this video!!

  • adam sandler with a fro!

  • Is that the terrorist leader/computer genius from Under Siege 2 on keyboard??

  • @SnakeMan227 rofl, no. It's a different guy. I can kinda see it, now that you mention it, though.

  • Seems like John's singing voice doesn't match his speaking voice... kinda weird... The song and the movie are great though!!!

    Cheers

  • He looks like Adam Sandler.

  • Runnin throughh the mystic night. Runnin till they take us away,,,,,,,

    NOSTALGIA!!!

  • cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • @Toddity76 lmaco

  • It's funny how the three guys in this band are major players from the original Halloween movie. John Carpenter (main singer/bassist) = Director, Tom Wallace (guitarist with mullet) = Producer/Editor, Nick Castle (keyboardist) = Michael Myers.

  • 9 People are in the Hell of the upside down sinners!

  • Ha. I must be the only person in the world who actually owns the vinyl single for this song.

It's a lot of fun though, the band have obviously got the same sense of humor as the film.

  • NOT adam sandler.

  • @cuntsgab but it CLEARLY say his name for 1.9 seconds @ 1:44

    hahahahahahahha

  • @cuntsgab but its a bittin image of em hahahah its nick castle, the shape from halloween, director of last star fighter

  • john carpenter sounds like danzig lol

  • John Carpenter when he dies will be up there with Hitchcock in terms of acclaim and that my friends is not only a prediction but a fact

  • Well, It could have been worse... Well no, it actually was a good song and movie. So the video could have been much worse, and it could have been a lousy soundtrack, and it movie could have sucked as well. Good thing none of these happened!

  • Actually, come to think of it.. I have that keyboard.

Yamaha DX7. I have an '83 with expansions. That keyboard IS 80's music. EVERYONE used it. Even MJ.

  • Kanye's sunglasses at 2:02 before they were cool.

  • K's shades at 2:02 before they were cool.nyes

  • According to David Lo Pan, 9 people has been skinned alive in hell

  • I have met all three of them, ya got Carpenter, on the base is Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers and Tommy Lee Wallace, who directed Halloween 3. AWESOME GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When I first heard this song I thought it was some hot looking guy sing this but who knew it was John Carpenter? Sorry John, cool song but stick to directing.

  • wow

  • John had kind of a Jim Morrison thing going on there.

  • I just dont see the resemblance to Adam Sandler at all... not even a little bit =(

  • Carpenter made some of the most memorable tempo's for his films, he is incredibly talented in so many departments. Where are all the directors today with his imagination ?

  • Damn I been watching this movie since like 1987 or so and I never knew that was him singing that song....

  • I masturbate to this song every night

  • Yes, it may be a stupid ass band, but I'm sure that he didn't miss the money he used to produce this... and yes, it was truly underrated, full of one-liners that my friends and I still use today...

"Pray yer card right... rive to talk about it!"

  • Man, I miss music television. Back when it actually kicked ass. I love this song. I've lost count on how many times I've listened to it. And I always thought Big Trouble in Little China was a very underrated movie.

  • "stupid ass band" HOW DARE YOU?!

  • And James Coburn @ 1:20

  • Adam Sandler @ 1:44 lol

  • This ain't all that bad. I've heard worse shit than this...

  • The guy playing keyboards is the dude who played Michael Myers in the first Halloween

  • Is it just me, or does JC just seem to be exhausted and going by the numbers. Really, there is only one moment that seems natural, and thats @ 0.37 when hesthrowing away spliced film... I guess as a film editor, hes a horrid musician!

  • As much as I loved this fil, and song, I wish Carpenter would have kept the Coup De Villes in his garage... or at least looked at the video clip before it was released!

  • @MrInsecticide, You missed the point. John was making an intentional by the numbers vid. He was not trying to reinvent the wheel, he was having fun with the song, and 80's videos. If you look at a good deal of 80's vids when the bands really hit the big time, a lot of them seem stilted anyway. He was just having some fun, plus this band actually has a song in the original Halloween too. Listen to when Laurie is in the car with Annie, the songe before Don't Fear the Reaper. They play fun music.

  • This was Carpenter's way of saying if this directing movies thing doesn't work, I'll started my own band.

  • JOHN RULES !!!!!!!!!!

  • it is not adam sandler it is nick castle the original Michael Myers

  • Best video I've ever seen! A true work of art. I love how Carpenter's wearing the Lords of Death sunglasses. Amazing!

  • i just find this music video super interesting.

  • I find it cool that Carpenter also make music for his films!

  • It was Carpenter's music that made me take up playing and writing music myself... the first piece of music I ever learned to play was the Halloween theme on piano... now I write music for adverts/film myself...

  • what slow decline he was on his game until [insert film here] give you a hint.

chevy chase, invisible man, stupid as fucking hell.

  • Much as I admire Carpenter, I suspect it is egotistical outings like this that marked the slow decline in his career... I remember being terribly disappointed by Big Trouble in Little China when I saw it in the cinema, having been a big fan of all his previous efforts...

  • @paynterr : I suspect you just don't like the film & take 'movies' far too seriously. I remember EVERYONE raving about this film for years & they still love it/class it as one of their favourite films.

  • @Cardiff67235

To be honest, I've not seen it for years... so it may be ok... the video, however, is so badly dated...

  • @paynterr :Fair enough/Apologies got defensive there. Assault on Precinct 13 & Halloween ftw.

  • This is prolly the greatest music video ever made. Fucking epic.

  • ha, stupid ass band! That about sums it up

  • Lo Pac's Scare is Creepy

  • I would just like to say...Nick Castle doesnt look like Adam Sandler, Sandler looks like Nick Castle :D

  • the keyboard player that looks like adam sandler is actually nick castle A.K.A. michael myers from the original 1978 halloween. the other guy with carpenter is tommy lee wallace the producer of halloween and ex husband to nancy loomis who played annie in the 1978 halloween.

  • I saw on IMDB that a new "Escape from NY" is in the works, any of you fellow JC fans know if this is true? Love this guy btw I grew up on his movies, saw Halloween when I was 8 yrs old,I was scared shitless for a month!!

  • COOL VIDEO

  • Their hair makes me LOL

  • "Stupid ass band"? Dude, really, this is better than most music produced today.

  • @g2kmaster

I was going to say the same thing.

  • i like john carpenter's band music

  • john,your music rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are those deleted scenes from the movie?

  • Wow, I didn't know this even existed. I have been looking for something like this for years.

  • The keyboard player is also the original Michael Myers.

  • @RandyPantheGoatBoy Mr. Jheri Curl is the masked killer?

  • @RedBandMagic02 Yup, the guy with the high-pitched voice.

  • I love this film, but had never seen this video. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories of childhood.

  • This is soooo gay. 5'd and Fav'd. For my fapping pleasure.

  • @MickTravisBickle

Oh wait... No "5" No Mo....Well.... I "like" this then.

  • Can someone put the lyrics of this song please!

  • You can feel the wind is rising, baby -- now the truth is here Out of the darkness coming, baby -- all the things you fear oohhh, we better run, running through the mystic night running 'till they take us away, Take us away Take us awaaaaay Big Trouble in Little China You can feel the thunder moving, baby -- like an evil dream. And there nothing in the world to save us, baby -- nothing's as it seems Mmmm, we better run, running through the mystic night running 'till they take us..
  • @RazorShaw Thank you very much! : D

  • @fumason no problem! :D

  • It's Nick Castle, who directed The Last Starfighter.

  • Everything John Carpenter does ist genius! You just understand it!

    :)

  • thts not adam sandler his name is nick castle.

  • haha i just watched the film and i actually liked it lol =D And i actually like this song :P

  • Best movie and best theme ever. I love JC he made the best freakin movies.

  • haha this is great! it's so cheesey but that's exactly what makes it so good!

  • Kicks ass.

  • This is awesome! Nothing says rock out like a collared shirt and sweater. Can't beat 80's Carpenter, Big Trouble and The Thing were genius.

  • The keyboard player is actually Nick Castle. He wrote Escape from New York. He's also directed a number of movies like The Last Starfighter, The Boy Who Could Fly and Dennis the Menace.

  • All the respect for carpenter, but this is horrible!!!!

  • Stupid ass band? You mean AWESOME ass band!

  • Now that is a director with some passion for his movie. Did we see Spielberg jam out on a keyboard to Schindeler's List? Hell no, he did not have the passion.

  • @sortedevaras This guy really made an effort in his films. He put in his soul in his work.

  • @sortedevaras haha, thank you for the funniest thing I've read today

  • @sortedevaras

And he sure as hell didn't sing about it, either! (Carpenter is one of the main vocalists, as well).

  • @sortedevaras Well, Carpenter scored the film (he scores all his films).

  • Adam Sandler guy looks like the guy from Talk Radio.

  • i think that the keyboard player looks like tom jones

  • LMFAO!!!

  • LMFAO!!!

  • so now we got adam sandler, john holmes , and _________?

  • @GreenManBluez McLovin! lol

  • LMAO! Yeah those two do look like Adam Sandler and John Holmes.

  • I dont like to use the word epic too much...but I'm going to use it to describe this.

  • the lead singer kinda looks like John Holmes

  • @moakley that would be John Carpenter himself...lol

  • they kinda look like a bunch of high school teachers

  • LMFAO

  • I wish I could vote this comment up a hundred times

  • yep,yep.

  • Man...this song sucks so bad....but I love it.

  • Come on dude... it ain't bad at all !

Meanwhile, I'm thinking to set this classy song as my incoming call tone. ;-)

  • LMFAO!!!

    sooooooooo corny.....

    i love it...

  • lopan was one funny dude in this! class song!

  • Is it hot in here or is it just me?

  • Best. Movie. Ever.

  • One of the best movies of all time!

  • it pisses me off to no end that this music video was not played nonstop on MTV in the 80s before they replaced their music videos with reality TV publicity sluts

  • You might actually have better luck finding a Chinese girl with "Green Eyes"

  • If I could find a live version of this song, I would seriously shit my pants.

  • Great song and hey you critics = get a new job............

  • This is gonna take cracker jack timing wang.

  • Better and more original than any corporate processed crap on MTV. Or BET.

  • Carpenter. He's been my greatest influence as a filmmaker. He is my idol....

  • 2:32 Carpenter reminds me James Coburn in Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid

  • LOL NICK CASTLE LOL!!!
