  • oh man, this is so good!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sublime...

  • Why are all the comments about Jesus? ... .... christ, people.

  • Gigman74: what are you talking about?!?!?!?

  • The simple fact is, believe in Jesus, no burn, don't believe, wear sun screen and shorts! God loves all of us and gave us all free will so you have to decide weather you want your eternal soul to reside in paradise or in never-ending torment in Jersey, I mean, Hell. I kid about Jersey, sorry.

  • @chimptor50 "The simple fact is..."

Imagine a man saying to his new girl friend, "I love you and will protect you and give you everything you need.... However, if you don't love me back and show loyalty, i have a place for you in the cellar where you shall be tortured forever and ever!"

Does this sound like the type of relationship you'd encourage someone to get into??? Because this is the type of thing the bible encourages... Love me, but if you don't - i'll torture you forever!

  • @chimptor50 Hell does not win people into the kingdom, friend, only the love we learn through Christ will

  • Gigman74: It's amazing how those who hate God and Christians always suddenly become Biblical scholars! Hey Gig, where exactly are these acts of violence and mayhem at in the Bible? And I want the exact Scripture verses, since you are such an athourity on the Bible. Also, ALL of us are sinners, Christians and non Christians alike. The only difference is Christians believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and through him all sins are forgiven by the blood he shed on Calvary. The simple fa

  • @chimptor50 "It's amazing how those who hate God and Christians always suddenly become Biblical scholars!"

I don't hate God because it's not real. I went to church for 12 years and i don't hate Christians. I have a desire to understand people and especially "why" they believe the things they do.

I'm not a "Biblical scholar" and don't need to be. The book is supposed to be the perfect word of god so anyone can read it at any time and form an opinion.

  • @chimptor50 "And I want the exact Scripture verses"

Maybe, just maybe, you should have at least read the bible BEFORE commenting and sticking up for the book?

*Le. 20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.*

*Le. 20:27 A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads*

  • @chimptor50 "And I want the exact Scripture verses"

*De. 21:18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard. Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death.*

  • @chimptor50 How many more verses do you want? There's hundreds....

This is a good one from Jesus:

Mt. 10:34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “`a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-inlaw - a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

The biggest threat to christianity is the bible!

  • @gigman74 thank you my good sir for taking these wonderful bits of scripture out of context. by removing them from their place in the Bible you have given yourself the power to make Jesus say whatever you want him to say. good job my friend, you've stumbled on a technique that has been used for quite some time now. The Bible is like a clock in that you can take one piece of it out and the clock may or may not function properly, most likely it will not.

  • "Super Group" ; GOT THAT RIGHT!

  • I really... REALLY believe that these 7 dislikes made cat playing with computer mouse.

  • thats bout as beautiful and amazing as music can get, brilliant!

  • Very good Solo.

  • Amazing track by the "last" aupergroup/progressive band.

Neal Morse, much more than a leader, he seems Steve Howe in this acoustic guitar solo. Trewavass from Marillion, Stolt from The Flower Kings and, of course, Portnoy from Dream Theater, what else?!

Transatlantic Hugs for all the lovers of this band.

  • @worldcitizengrendel Don't forget Gildenlow in the back! Sure he's a touring musician, but he's still Daniel Gildenlow!

  • @undiscokidd42 In my opinion, Daniel Gildenlow gets loads of appreciation... All deserved, for sure, but he's not the one that needs it! Roine Stolt is one of the most under-appreciated musicians around. A genius, though.

  • Neal Morse's music changed my life forever! I will be eternally grateful to him and to God for sending this music my way!!

  • @goldilox131 The song here is dedicated to the victims of 911 so if you believe god gave you this music then you must believe that god let 911 happen. God stood by and watched all those people fly to their deaths; burn to their deaths; crushed to their deaths... If it wasn't for the delusional beliefs in god, 911 wouldn't have happened!

But, i love the emotion in this song!

  • @gigman74

This song came way before 911, so don't say bullshit.... This time he sang for NY ... not that the song was made for it ...

  • @vfmjr ...speaking of emotion... You've misunderstood what i wrote!

I said "The song HERE is dedicated to the victims of 911". Meaning this version...

  • @gigman74 you're right, my fault, sorry ;)

  • @gigman74

And guess where we get our common morals from? The Bible. Take a look at all the ancient cultures and religions. You won't find our common moral system in Mayan culture, we find it in the Bible. In other words, if it weren't four our "delusional" belief in God we would be savages and you would probably be eating a baby right now or raping some random chick you find off the streets just because you could.

  • @Fluffypopcicle The god of the bible orders the DEATH of homosexuals, men and woman that don’t believe in him, people who believe in others Gods, people that work on the Sabbath, Pregnant women and unborn babies, children, babies, animals, mediums or spiritualists, rape victims, children that curse their parents, discriminates against the disabled, advocates slavery, advocates rape, discriminates against women, encourages self mutilation and the like. HOW IS THIS A MORAL CODE???

  • @gigman74 Are you saying that the 5 BILLION none christians on earth are NOT moral? Each one of them "eating babies" and "raping chicks"??? You're clearly a mindless, ignorant robot!

  • @gigman74

First of all, good job responding to yourself dumbass. Second of all, you need to take into context the era that those rules applied and why those rules applied. Thirdly, you don't have to be christian to be morally influenced by the Bible in the same way that you don't have to be a fan of Black Sabbath to be influenced by them. Just use your brain for a second and stop taking things out of context.

  • @Fluffypopcicle "...context the era that those rules applied and why those rules applied"

What the fuck... Since when was it ever, EVER acceptable to stone someone to death at any time in history? Are you mental or something?

If the bible is SO moral then you shouldn't have any trouble in letting us all know what those morals are. Please name just 10 "morals" we get from the bible that couldn't have been worked out by using our own brains... Well, just name the 10..

  • Man, how awesome is Mr. Portnoy when he doesn't try to steal everyone's light.

    Classic drumming

  • @davechicolombia He's the creme de la creme man. One of the best alive.

  • I love acoustic guitar solos. If only more acoustic players knew how to do more than just strum mundane chords.

  • at 3:55 Neal Morse literally needs some light :-)

  • @voidpI LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Potential serial killer at 6:34 hahaha

  • @elchafa that potential serial killer is ERIC BRENTON and he is amazing! a complete musician (flute traverse, violin, guitar, vocals, and other instruments) loo k at him on testimony dvd from neal morse

    cheers

  • Chills down my spine

  • 4 persons don´t want some light and will sleep in the darkness this night . Don´t forget to look under the bed , huh??!!

  • I think Neal Morse was Gospel...O.o

  • epic

  • love all the musicians in Transatlantic. Morses improv with his vox and guitar is fantastic. Legends!

  • this is such useless and unecessary music. please stop "making" "music"

  • @lilasbua First I wanna hear something come down from your shitty throat before I hear you whining about others 'making' 'music'. If you think they are so useless, atleast give an explanation. All you do is throwing a rock at someone for no reason. In my opinion THIS is how you are used to treat instruments. They have taken the time to write a song instead of racing Lady GaGa through the computer for 1 hour and have a dubstep remix. Just learn to appreciate real music.

  • @AardbeienPlantje Not that I think anything Lady Gaga has done is any good in any way. But any 200 millisecond portion of any of her music trumps this, easily. This is so bad that any random throwaway miniscule genome mutation is better "music".

  • @lilasbua I can't beat that, but only with these words: everyone has his/her kind of music, this one is one of mine

  • @lilasbua wow you must not have a soul

  • Lady Gaga is pure shit, and so is anyone who thinks this is worse then that pure shit...

  • @shawn229630 cuntholes

  • @lilasbua Umm nobody's forcing you to listen to it dude...

  • @lilasbua So please tell us what you listen to. I mean, obviously it's simply perfect and amazing in every way compared to this. Please, enlighten us.

  • honestly, after DT's lawyer bein a douche and not letting portnoy return, this is where he truly belongs.

  • @ryanbstory Portnoy left, Mangini joined. Do you think they should have just kicked out Mangini after all the auditions? Nah...

  • @Tkot2326 oh thats cool ive never really listened to them and i havent heard of them until i did some research on dream theater and mike portnoys side projects

  • Who's guy number 5 there?

  • @MrByumpusa Daniel Gildenlow (Pain Of Salvation)

  • @MrByumpusa you must listen to Pain Of Salvation now!!... one of the best bands i ever ever heard! for sure!

  • i love 2.42 , daniel gildenlow takes the piss knowing transatlantic could never even touch p.o.s as a prog band

  • @crubutt Oh whoops, I misread your comment, thought you said it the other way around, got pissed and thumbed down. My bad, I actually agree with you dude. Never heard a more uplifting song than "Vocari Dei", never heard a darker song than "Beyond the Pale".

  • nie moja bajka.......

  • are there any transatlantic fans here who arent dream theater fans? because dream theater led me to these guys

  • @ShiftyStealthy I found them via Spock's Beard

  • I love the guitar solo of this song O_O

  • One lonely man.

  • 0:10 - 0:14 = Neal learned about melo going to the knicks.

  • Anybody has any idea wich guitar Neal is playing on? It sound so beautiful.

  • @Joskethefarmer Looks like a Takamine. 4:30 Nice guitar indeed!

  • @thedrrew yes (: I'd like to know wich model it is, but it prodably won't be made anymore... ):

  • nauseating after a few hearings.

  • Best thing about Mike Portnoy is that he isn't constantly trying to show off, he's about sounding good over looking good

  • Portnoys drum's always sound so good live, Most drummers kits sound like shit most of the time..Just shows the level of detail and expectation you get from a truly gifted musician..

  • grande claaaaaaasse

  • I love old people come back even if they are not '' old '' but they are gona be always in my earth and transatlantic is my favorite grp. And it's cool for the new generation anyway :) like me

  • Daniel Gildenlöw. s2

  • mike portnoy is the fucking master....transatlantic, dream theater, avenged sevenfold, osi and.......one of the best drummer in the wolrd

  • who disliked this, whats the point its a very well composed and exectued piece of music. music lovers check my new vid out. 'tender surrender john norton music' on youtube.

  • now this is music. Unbelievable how beautiful this actually is.

  • I Love the look on neel and the bass player's face at the beginning... "so what the hell are you playing anyways?"

  • John 8:12

    The answer for this clamor.

  • I know that what I'm gonna say is really stupid and annoying, but I seriously think somebody missed the like button. I mean why would it be only 1 person.

    sorry for being cheesy :)

  • I like Morse's voice better live. But I'm not saying his voice is terrible in studio by any means. This shit is just really great.

  • I love this band. Such an incredible line-up also. If you like finnish progressive music, please check my channel and my band Humangod.

  • Amazing song. :-)

  • Santa María de los Orgasmos Auditivos [TransAtlantic - We All Need Some Light]

  • Awesome!

  • Yay for Mike Portnoy! From dream Theater to Transatlantic...Pretty cool :D

  • @Shawnium101 just die!!!!

  • @kurvoljubac Just die?

  • @Shawnium101 Thats right, just die!!!! lol

  • @Shawnium101

Actually this video is form 2001 !!!

  • @nirsul Hahaha! ya, kinda found out this album was the first. Thx anyway (:

  • @Shawnium101 Mike Portnoy never "left" Dream theater for any band considering that transatlantic existed in the early 2000's ( 2000 - 2003 ) and regrouped in 2009. Mike left Dream theater in 2010. Since Dream Theater have existed since 1989, transatlantic were a side-project mike had. It wouldn't surprise me though if he went further back into his more "progressive roots" since this is where he really belong.

  • @Shawnium101 it was actually DT to A7x...everyone would have prefered transatlantic, but wtf mayne :(

  • @Shawnium101

dream theater to Avenged sevenfold to Transatlantic
