It took me for ever to find some good pictures, but I used mostly the Game itself to see how it was, just google it, and if you have the game Make it your self. :)

yea the name is Maya version 8.5 made by Autodesk. it is a 3D modeling, visual effects and Animation software specifically made for Game Development. This software is not free though.

The only place you can download its from the Official website but its only the 30 dyas tial version. or go to a store and buy it.
I cannot post the link to it for somereason just go to
Autodesk (dot) com and go to Products Autodesk Maya and click on the Download Trial button at the right of the page. Fill out the form and thats it.
if you want to get started with modeling there are couple of free Software out there maybe not as good but they work.
one of them is Blender
