I just did a year in Jail...Ocean County....N.J....I now owe 22000 but I live in the south...No work release while I was in there because I had past violent charges...I was 5 weeks from finishing college...I only been on CS for 3 years....I got out Aug 19 2011 and already have another court date 0ct 31 2011.....Its killing me...and My ex wife was the bread winner...she makes way more money then I ever have....but I still love her and the kids...I just need a Good Job
i live in maine and child support is bullshit, i was paying 500 dollars a month, i only make 9.67 an hour. i recently got it fixed, down to.........80 dollars less a month, woaaah.. hahaha.i was only going to pay 52 a week, but one of the bitches in there as a judge, she suggested i pay child care. so great i have to pay for her to work jhahahaa... and i have to pay medical if its avil. i feel your pain dude... and the women who get child support, you know they spend it at the bar or make up.

I have a question concerning child support: If a man owes a woman child support and has another child by a different woman is it the authority of the Child Support Enforcement to tell the the second woman about the payments of the man to the first woman that haven't been made? And if the man goes to the Child Support office with the 2nd woman and gives his information to pay towards the 2nd child will the missed payments of the 1st child be brought up?

Statistically men hold more of the wealth and are likely to make more pay in any particular job that does not have a uniform payscale. The County is currently giving them $57,688.00 per yr per judge in addition to the pay and benefits they receive from the State. After being exposed for the bribes (Sturgeon v Los Angeles County) the judges paid a lobbyist to pass SBX211 granting the retro active imunity from prosecution. SBX211 does not address the loss of due proccess.

I am paying $200 child support on a mutual agreement. I am thinking of making it a court ordered child support so I can at least have a vistation rights. But I am afraid if I would have to pay more money as I am only working a minimum wage job. I have continued to pay child support even when my kid lived overseas for nine months. I went through arrange marriage when I was 18 in Yemen and got my wife to come to America but then she turned her head on me with her parents and demanded divorce because I refused to pay for her a one way ticket to Yemen with her dad. No judge will be in your favor and they want you in the system. In 2003 the state of Ohio profited to the sum of $224,000,000.

The problem really comes from the Welfare Reform Act Title IV-D which provides state child support agencies federal funding incentives for their costs to enforce child support payments. Change needs to happen because the entire system is corrupt. Get the word out, share the site, PLEASE!

I just did a year in Jail...Ocean County....N.J....I now owe 22000 but I live in the south...No work release while I was in there because I had past violent charges...I was 5 weeks from finishing college...I only been on CS for 3 years....I got out Aug 19 2011 and already have another court date 0ct 31 2011.....Its killing me...and My ex wife was the bread winner...she makes way more money then I ever have....but I still love her and the kids...I just need a Good Job

Under Title IV-D, the Fed Gov't pays incentives to the Courts. The more money that passes through the system for child support, the more they get. This is why they give the majority of custody to one parent (90+% of the time to the woman), because it means the other party (the man) has to pay more, and the state gets a bigger cut. The state is literally paid by the Feds to split up families. The injustices that have arisen as a result are a textbook example of the Standford prison experiment.

They demand that you pay half of your paycheck, even though the cost of living is more than that. If you end up homeless, they'll put out a warrant for your arrest. It is too late for men who are caught in this situation. The courts are not even concerned with the individuals situation. Statistically men hold more of the wealth and are likely to make more pay in any particular job that does not have a uniform payscale. It is assumned that women are more likely to be attentive and nurturing to their children since they share the physical act of birth and are bonded more closely. It is tough to be a good dad. The court makes it difficult for the parents of children at risk of being without financial support to insure beyond question that this support is unavailable not just being whitheld. It is not right for a father to be harassed or have his visitation rights reduced but if decided by court it is just. It may not be right that the childs mother benefits from the childs support but is just. It is not right or just that a child be deprived of the benefits of having two living able parents.child wins

When we enter into the social contract of marriage we assumne totall liability for anything that results. When the parties involved resort to these courts to restore their individual seperate happinesses they give up control of everything but themselves. I am paying $200 child support on a mutual agreement. I am thinking of making it a court ordered child support so I can at least have a vistation rights. The problem really comes from the Welfare Reform Act Title IV-D which provides state child support agencies federal funding incentives for their costs to enforce child support payments. Change needs to happen because the entire system is corrupt. Get the word out, share the site, PLEASE!

Hey all an important SC Supreme court case is coming in March regarding a disabled man jailed for over a year because he was unable to pay CS. The Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments will be argued! Check out ScotUSBlog Turner V Price. Also I urge you to get involved with as many advocacy groups out there ie petitionchildsupportreform! Literally 1000's are now involved in appealing and challenging these un-constitutional laws that we all know need major reform!

im sorry yall but you need to be ACCOUNTABLE for your responsiblities. is she wrong for not letting you see your child, hell yes. but the end of the day, both of yall laid down to make a baby so both need to provide sometype of monetary income to support the baby. Try to see the prob from the other persons point of view, esp. the person (whether male or female) who LIVES with the baby, cuz their putting in the most time and MONEY more likely than the parent who doesnt have full custody.

@0119alt What about the situation when you are actively involved financially and parentally and she sees you move on with another woman and so she decides to file child support just to punish you. This kind of thing happens all the time and there should be safeguards to prevent that from happening.

@glong86 That is just what happens when you have a child out of wedlock. That is how the system works, if people do not like that: do not have kid. Everything in life is not fair, not saying saying that situation is right but that is life and something you should think about as an adult who is sexually active. Again, each situation is unique, I am not saying that the man is always to blame. I said people need to be accountable that means the MAN and the WOMAN.

i could understand that. and to be honest i feel like if someone REALLY wants to see their kids then they would see them. YOU know you have a court date...SHOW UP! lol its being a responsible adult! bottom line show up for your court date, pay your child support and you wont have to deal with this problem. i dont have any kids, but if you havent seen your child within a year=DEADBEAT. even if you dont see your kid,you still have them so PAY up and get over it. sorry to b so rude but its tru

Guys listen just PAY dont worry about the parenting part it's overrated anyway's, just PAY!!! Get the money to your babies momma and let them worry about the parenting part. Because we all know that if something goes wrong you the FATHER are still to blame..lol
