@NIKKIselma Great question. Certain activities - like bending down with housekeeping - tend to work against Spinal Decompression in the early phase of treatment. Spinal Decompression 'decompresses' the disc while bending / sitting / lifting 'compresses' the disc. Therefore, we recommend limiting such activities during the first 2-3 weeks of treatment. Even if this is not possible the treatment could still be effective, but improvement may be slower and could take longer.
Are twice weekly treatments sufficient to treat disk herniation. I have four ruptured disks in my neck and thus far have had 7 treatment with slight improvement in pain relief. I have had treatments 2 times per week and now have been told it should be 1 time per week. Thanks for your feed back.
I did this about 5 years ago, I was crawling up my legs w/ my hands 2 stand up & even was bed ridden for a wk. This machine is bar none the BEST OPTION available. I can walk a& no longer have to crawl up my legs to stand. It's $100 a visit, too much, I spent about $4,000. I've been been studying how 2 build my own machine, this machine costs $100,000.00. But beyond my idea I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone suffering from bulging/herniated discs. Also get a portable Tens Unit from your doctor. GL
@wackystackr I'm happy to hear about your great results. We see results like that each and every day. It makes going to work that much more fun and rewarding.
@KenEricksonDC I was injured at 33, I am 47 now. Like I said I suffered BADLY, my pain dr said NO to this machine stating they were useless. I was DESPERATE & did it anyway, it HELPED, NO folks it SAVED my life, it gave me QUALITY of LIFE. It by no means is perfect but if your suffering with herniated/bulging discs DON'T WAIT! I'm walking proof this machine works. Again GL and Ken my Chiropractor felt rewarded by so many + results too. His confidence HELPED ME along w/ a Good Dose of God :-)
OK, but what happens when the machine stops pulling you apart? Gravity does the opposite... adds pressure, which re-compresses the disc and it bulges back out. Seems like decompression would just be temporary relief.
@kw757 Trust me this machine will help you. I could not walk and after about 40 treatments I could walk, that's about 5 years ago. I say DO IT, that's from personal experience and 14 years of chronic back pain. Good Luck
@kw757 Excellent question. Discs are designed to last our entire lives. The proteins within the disc hold onto the fluid quite strongly – gravity alone should not be enough to drive this fluid out.
I answered this question is far greater detail on our website.
@KenEricksonDC YouTube won't let me post the link to the blog post that I wrote to answer your question. Visit our website in the channel profile and just add backslash news. It's titled "What happens when Spinal Decompression treatment is done?" Sorry for the inconvenience.
According to the manufacturer, Axiom Worldwide, the only DRX9000 Spinal Decompression doctors outside of the United States are located in Belgium, Canada, El Salvador and Italy. That is the best source that I could find.
We have had patients travel to our office for treatment from United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Egypt and multiple different states within the U.S.
I would say that the *vast* majority of patients that we treat are near Medicare age or older. Seniors are far more likely than younger people to suffer from disc bulges, herniated discs and degerative disc disease.
IT WORKS!!!!!!! This decompression is saving my life. I have a hell of a testimony about the DRX9000. I just finished my seventh treatment. Ken, what I have found amazing is, all the fluid that the discs deplete themselves of, stays near the dry discs, once the discs are slightly separated, the natural fluids replenish. A before and after image of your disc-o-gram will prove that. I would never again consider the scalpel. Before my first visit,, I couldn't walk 50 feet,, I'm walking now.
I'm glad to hear that you did well with DRX9000 Spinal Decompression. As amazing as your story is I have to say that it is fairly common in our office - patients that thought they had no hope completing treatment and getting their lives back!
I need to throw my two cents in here. I have four bulging discs with pinched nerves in the L4, L5 area. I just received my seventh treatment. This has made all the difference in the World. I've been out of work since Jul. 2, 07 and I'm 50 LBS under weight. The pinched nerves have rendered my digestive system useless. It has also effected the entire RT. side of my body. I'm a W/C case, so naturally they've done absolutely NOTHING for me. I discovered spinal decompression via my eye Dr......
If the symptoms are caused by direct nerve compression from a herniated disc then the only treatments that would work would be treatments focused on reducing the physical size of the herniation. DRX9000 Spinal Decompression was specifically designed to accomplish this non-surgically.
Surgery may be an option in severe cases because it also reduces the size of the herniation. Unfortunately, surgery has its risks and also makes the disc more prone to future degeneration and repeat surgeries.
Yeah no s**t, the doctors can for example cut you up by an inch wrong, at the same time cutting important nerves going to the leg, ending up with you having no feeling or control over the leg.. This happened to my relative.
Could I achieve the same results with this machine despite working in housekeeping?

For those that don't speak French, samiadamzak said, "a slipped disc is a mechanical deformation. Therefore, the care must also be mechanical"
I agree with this statement.
