Pads in my area are the same way. Only it's physically impossible to get AAA's because just when you think you have a nice combo going, you'll get a random "Boo" here and there. It's fuckin ridiculous.

@UglyStru its not impossible but its really hard, since i have to get ALL steps perfect. It doesnt even have to be a "boo" or anything. I played "a love like this" on supernova the other day and got 204 perfects !!! and only 3 great and still only AA (which of course is not bad but not enough for a triple AAA ) but yeh i know exactly what you mean. :)

Out of all music/rythm games I played, DDr was the hardest for me, but I'm glad I played it b4 I ever played stuff like guitar heo.

It helped my reaction and stuff and gave me way better foot work than anyone else on my football team.

Of course, I only benifitted from it cuz I played on heavy all the time and did songs like max 300 till my legs felt non exsitent

If you seen the other videos such as "DDR Freestyle", however, those guys play usually Standard mode, but they've memorized the arrows to the point that they can actually dance(some breakdance) without missing a beat, and to me it looks a lot more fun than holding onto the bar for dear life at Heavyx2 and 200bpm ~.~

Don't get me wrong; I think your work is quite amazing, but personally I prefer slower and less complicated to enjoy myself.

Probably still a 10 because of the very slow BPM. I know it's easier with speed mods but I think Konami rates them by the amount of steps and the native tempo. 64ths at 65BPM can be pretty hard.

I've played fucktons of music games and DDR is definitely one of the easier ones to PICK UP. I'm not talking about AAAing because AAAing in DDR, especially the arcade, is pretty damn tough.

I actually found Rock Band (drums, on hard/expert) easier to pick up and do well on than DDR right away. Yes, kinda apples to oranges comparison, but three years working and I still haven't AAA'd Burning Heat in DDR (6 greats :-( )

AAAing in the arcade is especially difficult in the arcades nearest to me - shit pads.

Dammit DDR is one of the hardest games I've ever played. Sure it's easy to pick up, but unlike other rythm games, the movement is much more extreme. I know i could pass max 300 or xepher, but I get so tired... and there is much more accuracy involved in it as well.

But i like beatmania, at least, i think that's what its called. The one where you press the funny little buttons and "pretend" your a dj.
