thanks the only tip I have is start out with playing really easy songs (with easy rhythms) you know well enough you could play them blindfolded or in the dark. I started playing songs that all you have to do is strum chords and did so in front of a mirror to make sure I was playing properly (you could just watch your fret board). I then worked up to more complicated songs like this one.

thanks a lot I think my guitar us pretty too. It's kind of hard to play the solo with just one guitar. If I started playing the solo with no rhythm guitar behind it the solo section would have sounded really dry. Thats actually one of my pet peeves! I have recorded an electric version of the song with the solo and I should be done editing/mixing the audio and video very soon.
