  • These "home" videos are like being there and show it's the man not the producer

  • WOoaahh ! It's like these guys came round and took down my two Martins. Guess I'm just braggin but aint thems a D35 on Dwight and a D28 on the guy who's trying to see his changes, and keep up, (as I am). ?

    gotta love this one.

  • Dwight. long time since that tune was new. still holds its own.

  • Cute!~!~

  • love it!

  • Hotter than a Mexican hooker

  • Those are the most luscious lips I've ever seen! Love Dwight!

  • @DYDreamin1 I'm as straight as they come, but Dwight is a sexy man!

My wife and I joke that I have a man crush on him.

  • This has always been one of my favorites from Dwight.

  • Badass!..

  • sounds early sun records

  • pure class

  • Very Johnny Cash like... love it.

  • What a true song!!!

  • to Dwight's left is Mr. Dave Alvin, pride of Downey, California and founding member of The Blasters.

  • Dave is so cool, he's looking at Dwight's chords early in the song so he can jump in and jam ... dedicated musician and one very genuine man.

  • is he a natural??

  • The guy beside him is an awesome guitar player...watches dwight's hand for the chords and picks it up right away.Nice wish I could do that

  • Not to take anything away from Mr. Alvin, I'm sure he is a fine musician. But any player worth his salt could pick up on a tune like that. We have to if we're professionals...

  • Can you help out an amateur and tell me what those chords are?

  • absolutely yogi2012! he's playing in the key of E (a key that Dwight favors). There are 3 chords used in this tune: the I chord (E); the IV chord (A); and the V chord (B). The verse goes back and forth from I to IV I (common rockabilly move), then it goes to the IV at the chorus, ending on the V chord and back to I. Not much space to get into detail here, but just play along and use your ears (be aware this performance/recording is a bit out of tune). Hope that's helpful, happy pickin!

  • thanks

  • Wow!

  • Can I be your special loved one at home Dwight ? ;)

  • the perfect country voice. the definition of country vocals right there.

  • No doubt, it is Dave Alvin, and Charley Pride too, I guess.

  • AMEN TO THAT

  • It's funny. This song takes me back to greats like Roy Acuff and Kitty Wells. That down home country sound that makes you take notice.

  • Yup, that is Dave Alvin....

  • Is that Dave Alvin playin guitar with d. y.?

  • Love that Voice!!! Makes me smile :D

  • "To my special loved one at home" hmmmm.... wonder who that was, he'll never "KISS AND TELL"

  • Oh Wow Thank You

    I hadn't seen this before.

  • As a poet....he ranks with the best, as an entertainer..same, same...but he always has that sense of mystery about him and it only adds to his brilliance!!!

  • I really love everything Dwight sings and plays but this is truly awesome. I believe he is better live than on records if this is possible.

  • Eastern Ky. Mountain Man...I Love It! Thanks sFV.

  • I love this version of the song!!

  • Thanks for the video, soFein. I may have to rethink being his girlfriend now!

  • LOL retta!
