@paxtonhume If you believe in math than some higher power must also be true, be it God or Gods or whatever. If you take the universe and strip away the matter and energy you just have a set of rules and rules have to be created by someone. Just the fact that we've simplified equations to the degree that we have is enough proof for me, it makes too much sense.
@Ripotes And life is another example, If chaos is the natural state for atoms what made the first cells form and decide they needed to survive and reproduce at all costs? It's so arbitrary, there's just no explanation other than a higher cause.
@Ripotes Of course against the nihilist argument none of these examples hold up because cause and reason aren't necessary so we're at an impasse. It's like that movie Shutter Island.
@Ripotes Also, Dawkins is a narrow-minded smug piece of shit. No duh, religious people are idiots, they just want some reassurance but at least they have an answer. All you have is an argument. Go read some Viktor Frankl or something.
Agreed, I always hate it when people misquote the Big Bang theory and state (on their own accord) that "Something came from nothing" or that time ever "started".
Clearly these people have never investigated physics or come across the unit of measure known as "Planck Time". If they would even so much as look it up on wikipedia, they'd know that physicists have only chosen 1.00 Planck Time as a "reasonable" starting point because they can't know anything before that time.
Also Hawkings approach to ending the cause question, envisaging a quantum universe where space-time would be curved back on itself like the surface of a sphere, and thus would have no beginning or end.
Your theory is inherently valid because it creates a world without the need for proof.
a^2 + b^2 of a right triangle is meaningless, it may happen to equal c^2 in every situation but that's no reason to expect it to.
gratz, but I'd rather live irl.

"but that's no reason to expect it to" What exactly do you mean by that?
"In real life"....kind of vague

Only crit is the sudden ending. A fade would have been 'nice'.
