  • Can anyone tell me, Whats the difference between BHP and WHP and HP????????

  • orgasmic

  • When you dyno tune you're trying to fix your whole map not just go after more power in the direct drive gear, this way you can feel the power in every gear.

  • 1:03 NOOB

  • boa a moto e show sor fan de moto

  • @ylism why would you want to start on a litter bike or a 600cc? if you have no experience on a motorbike it's better go start small

  • That guy on the side, looked as if the exhaust fumes where getting to him...Thinking, Or dreaming, Just maybe this ones going to make over a 100 RWHP for a change. I bet he's a happy guy now..

  • down*

  • I love how American R6's are tuned Dow

  • @chickencoop297 I love how European bikes are HP limited for the younger riders.

  • how can i gett this job????:D

  • Whenever i see dyno videos of bikes, i start to say hoooollllllllyyyyyyy shiiiiiiiiitttttttttt in like slo mo as the bike gets up to speed

  • It sends chills down my spine.

  • that bike sounded great when it really wound out.. gave me goose bumps..

  • so 109whp whats that at the crank

  • my swiss 2008 r6 pulls whith a remus exhauts 116 at the wheel!!!

  • @switzerlandweed depends on temperature, altitude, pressure, hygrometry.

A R6 at sea level could make the same power as a R1 at higher air temp or lower pressure

  • I just dont understand why hes sitting on that bike instead of me :P

Have to sell my Kawasaki immediately

  • 0:37 go baby go

  • You don't need to be good to do a track day, but just street race as much as possible and maybe you'll just die one day. And I ride every day, so i GENERALLY dont take statements like that lightly. buuut...youre an exception

  • my o8 r6 made 107whp with the same headers, a two bros carbon slip on and pc3 custom map with the stock air filter. nice to know 70 bucks will only get me 2 hp if i do it. im spending the money on braided brake lines instead.

  • @plasticslap 2 horsepower can make a lot of difference. :] and if you plan on racing those extra horsies could shave some time off your lap.. and a second or two is a huge difference

  • No not 109bhp. 109whp. There is a difference.

  • 109bhp ??? is that all ? My UK spec made 114bhp stock.

  • alter das is ja mal ein hamma sound

  • isnt that a little low for the mods you have??

  • Which is the best exhaust for yamaha r6?

  • @alexsirghi termignoni gp style :D

  • damn that was sexy!

  • holy shit that's madd loud

  • i had a dyno redone at the same place now that i put in the BMC Race Air Intake, Akrapovic Slip-ON, and a PC V...i went up 8 hp and 1-2 ft. lbs. of torque...114.8 hp and about 45-46 ft lbs. of torque.....

  • My 08 R6 put out 109.63 at 27 degrees with only an akra end can, this seems to be about the right figure for most of them and the dyno is used by a top bike magazine and racing team and has given conservative figures for all the top sports bikes.Race teams dont lie to themselves.Without proper engine work eg the head then 115 is about your lot on a true dyno and that is it no question.

  • don't listen to these idiots...i just had my dyno today on the bone stock 2009 R6...i made 106 hp and 43.5 ft. lb. torque....

  • damn listen to that thing scream..

  • what does this dyno thing do?

  • it tells you how much power is coming from the rear wheel and other couculations

  • i had my 08 r6 dynoed back in april and it made 111rwhp (with a pcIII/full graves exhaust) and i thought that was stellar! if i had advanced the timing and the intake cam, i could make nearly 140...but why? i think your money would've been better spent if you ponied up for ducati 848 to begin with...just my $.02

  • ducati 848 is a hell of a bike. but isnt it more expensive in the long run?

also what bike would win in a race with all stock. the ducati or R6

  • R6 is faster on the track....

  • lol, you know whats funny is I always hear this from yami guys, most of them dont even go to the track, or have never been to one. This assumption is based on what? First of all, its bullshit to make such a dumb comment since about 90 percent of racing is the rider. Ive seen guys getting blown by a sv650 on a track than a r6, gixxer6, or kawi. Most tracks are built w/o consideration of top speed, and a lot of straights are not long enough to get up to top end. Stop spreading bullshit

  • You always hear it from the yami guys huh? Must be cuz we have the biggest ballz and get the most amount of pussy on our bikes. My assumption actually came out of my asshole, because it's fucking fast and yours isn't. I've seen videos on youtube with the 2008 and 2009 supersport track shootout and the R6 wins the track in both years. That, and pretty much everytime I see a professional race on TV I see an R6 leading the pack by like five seconds. So, you can like go share the bullshit......

  • lol...professional racing? bwahaha...R6 does not lead professional racing dipshit. AMA and world superbike are 1000cc bikes first of all, and look at all the top podium bikes....SUZUKI has dominated AMA and WSBK for YEARS...yamaha was never a contender. Ducati next. Rossi is the only person on a yamaha bike that kicks ass, and he kicked ass on a honda too when honda had him. Its not the bike, its the riders. Are you a fucking teenager? Getting pussy because of your bike? lol. dweeb

  • You know ama has a sport bike class, 600cc, which cal crutchlow won on a yamaha r6 if you knew anything about racing and not just the bs you read on espn you would know this, last year they won ama, world superbike, spies won that on a r1, motogp, mx, the whole fucking show the only thing yamaha didnt win was ama superbike

  • are you suggesting that these riders won because they ride a yamaha?

  • Your last sentence says it perfectly...MORE BULLSHIT. I blow by R6 all fucking day on the track, and Guess what? I actually go to tracks lol...you probably dont even own a pair of leathers fuckstick.

  • It's called sarcasm buddy. The 2009 R1 lapped 2.5 seconds faster than the 2009 Suzuki 1000. Suzuki has been winning races because it's 90% rider and 10% bike, which is what you correctly said earlier. Quit trying to bring me down because I promise you you won't. I make more money in a day than you do in a year, and I don't like to call pieces of shit low life living faggot wannabe professionals like you assholes unless they deserve it. Chill the fuck out, and try not to get mafia involved.

  • can you stay on target here? I dont give a shit how much money you make. 09 r1 is still not on the top of the podium. You are basing all of your stupid so called "data" on a fucking motorcycle review by some guys that get paid to ride and advertise for companies? Shut the fuck up already, because you obviously dont know shit about bikes. Pros that actually race (and even superstock) bikes are not even close to stock street production bikes you moron. Get a fucking life.

  • Dude, you're really starting to piss me the fuck off. My fucking point is that the R1 with the crossplank crankshaft is the closest thing to a MotoGP bike stock for stock out of all 1000cc bikes. Those guys that did the review are professionals that have raced before you fucking inbred cunt. Suzukis or any other bikes don't win in the AMA because they're faster, but because the riders are so much better. I'm in Dubai on vacation right now having a great life, but I still think you're a fag.

  • Wait wait wait....you said previously that the R6...the R SIX, every time you turn on the tv is leading pro racing by 5 seconds, and that the superbike shootout (obviously the reviews from the MCN guys at motorcycle network or a magazine) says the R6 is the best track bike....and so you think it is even though you have never been on a real track and dont own a pair of leathers. You went from that to the R ONE R1 crossplane crankshaft. get the fuck outta here douchebag. U dont know shit

  • I could give to fucking shits about where you are on vacation.

  • yeah your asshole is fast lol....probably cause of all those em ehms youve have up in it.

  • The R1 is the fastest track bike as of 2009 and the R6 was also the fastest track bike as of 2008 and 2009 according to MCN. I don't know what was so confusing about that to you, but you are a queer so It's understandable. You really do need to stop the insults because I will bend you over like I bent this nice Arabian bitch last night. You mean NOTHING to me you mother fucking dick sucker. I may not have leathers but I can wheelie my R6 at over 115 mph I'd be good on track too with practice

  • and what part did you not understand about MCN reviews being bullshit? 4 guys have a favorite fun bike to ride of the year and say its the fastest on the track and all you guppies start wagging your fins like its the end all be all of truth.

And you just proved my point....Yami guys claim their bike is the fastest on a track.....and you have never been to one. I could care less about your sex life. You suck at life.

  • Well, the 4 guys ride the 6 bikes in the shootout and do their fastest laps that they can on each bike and average out their scores. It seemed pretty legit when I saw it, and the R6 definitely has more higher end than the Honda, because my roomate can never take me in races on the street and stuff with roll offs, but he can launch pretty hard lol. He has the 07 I have the 09. When mine was stock it was still beating him bad with a two brothers and K&N air filter lol. You should go get a life

  • oh, well youre little shitty roll on race on the streets totally makes it a better track bike. You are the one that needs to get a fucking life, you and your brand faggotism. These bikes are all pretty much the same and you will not notice a difference in any of them on the track. My point stands...youve never been on a track but you think your bike is the fastest on a track. lol.

  • Well smart guy, you need to see WHY the R6 is such a great track bike. It's because of it's high end power, which makes it no competition when you race a Honda on the streets roll off, cuz as soon as you hit 10,000 rpms and over the Honda is a joke. You don't need to have seen an atom to know that it's got negatively and positively charged particles in it, just like I don't need to be on a track to know that it's 90% rider and 10% bike, but the high end power of the R6 helps a lot! Try again.

  • @4Shabani4 you need to go compare peak power curves on dyno charts for all 600cc bikes. You sound like a person who has precisely ZERO experience with bikes. R6 doesnt have more peak power than can be obtained by other 600cc bikes, its just that to get the R6s power, you HAVE to be topend. Because the low and mid power of the r6 suck balls unless you regear it.

  • i really don't have to when i've raced gixxers and hondas on person...in the end, dyno numbers are just dyno numbers...but when you race them in a straight line, then u know for sure which is fastest...and the midrange is acually quite compareable to the Honda cbr600rr...because i've done a lot of tests with it midrange and stuff to see how they compare...try again

  • @4Shabani4 this guys dyno result was 109 horsepower with a bmc filter, slip on, and power commander. here is an 06 pulling 116 hp even though its a full exhaust watch?v=5kZoN-AqscI.

a few horsepower difference doesnt make a noticable difference on the track. Learning the track, taking smooth lines, apexing late, getting on the throttle sooner, braking later make you faster. Not your 3 horsepower difference.

i recommend you do a track day or two and stop acting like the r6 is awesome.

  • i had 107 hp stock on the dyno...after i put in the Akrapovic slip on with bmc race air intake, and power commander 5, i had 115 hp...that's a 7% increase...and i also went up 1-2 ft lbs. torque...which actually would make quite a difference on the track...quit making shit up...try again

  • Hey, guess what would have made more of a difference on the track.... taking the money from your measly 7% hp worth of mods and investing in a track day. Excuse me, MANY track days for what you spent. Who gives a shit about racing on a road illegally when you can hit it all day long on a track? You road-racing dicks give sport bikes a bad name.

  • @v8rangerboy I have a lot of money though, so it makes no difference to me...i can go to a track day anytime i want, but i don't because i want to get a little better yet on the streets...7% increase isn't measly u bitch it's actually quite the difference in power when you ride it before and after...all bikes are the same, it's just preference, don't throw me in with the "road-racing dicks" because i'm not one of them...reply to other people's shit and sound smart because i won't deal with it

  • Cool, definitely not the first person I've met with a lot of money and shit for a brain. You don't have to be some amazing rider to do a track day. By humbling up and watching other people who actually DO know how to ride, you might learn a thing or two.

I take that back, not with your attitude. And yeah, I actually will throw you in with the road-racing dicks because you already lined yourself up for the category.

You're not gonna deal with what? People seeing through your bullshit? Sweet!

  • @v8rangerboy dude suck my fucking cock you little bitch...i'm a student at University of Wisconsin...i love how people are so different when they chat online and then you meet them in person and you see a completely different guy...guarantee you wouldn't be saying all this in person because I wouldn't let you...you are a faggot wanna be professional racer that will never be one...you are too cold-hearted to be one...i don't bother trying so i don't go to tracks...i ride for fun on the streets.

  • And let's be serious. What's a 7% hp gain when you can't even ride it even 1% faster because of it?

  • @4Shabani4 "...and i also went up 1-2 ft lbs. torque...which actually would make quite a difference on the track..."

OK, so lets get this straight. The the power gain makes a difference on a track, but you won't pay to take your bike to one, soo the power is useless. BUT you are apparently a loaded college student (thank your parents) so wouldnt you just pay to go to a track to feel the increase? NO WAY that is too logical, so you just street race. The extra power is useless w/out experience.

  • @SLeRoux92 Since R6's aren't notorious for their torque, I put in the stuff just so I could get a little more power out of it going through traffic and what not. I'm actually thinking about hitting the track up this upcoming summer. I'm just afraid I'll wipe out or some shit trying to accelerate out of a corner or something like that. I'm reading some of these comments I wrote months ago...holy shit lol. You don't have to have loaded parents to have what I have either...just saying lol.

  • @4Shabani4 Speaking of lacking torque, I bought a 250 to learn on before jumping on an r6. Not the most exhilerating ride.

  • @4Shabani4 and by the way, we HAVE seen an atom. Its called a SE microscope. There is testable theory behind atomic characteristics, its not even remotely similar to motorcycle riding. lol....that was the lamest comparison ive ever heard.

  • My point with the whole Atom thing was that you don't need to have experienced something to actually know a thing or two about it, you fucking idiot son of a bitch. Try again.

  • @4Shabani4 Id smoke your ass on a track with a ninja. Better yet...a 1998 ninja, or even an sv650.

  • That's great, you've actually been on a track, let me see that ninja take me on the roads and we'll see. And i'd also beat u in a street fight pretty bad because it's clear to me ur an absolute fuckin faggot...usually decent guys don't attack others the way you do, but obviously you aren't since you spent 4 comments...it's almost like you have no life, which wouldn't surprise me one bit...why don't you like find something else better to do cuz it's like i said before, you mean NOTHING to me....

  • you would be the first person to kick my ass if you did. I HIGHLY doubt you would even land a punch fuckstick.

  • yes, the R6 is faster in twisties than the 848 and the R1...not straight line though. long term, it's prolly more expensive for younger/newer riders after you tally up insurance and upkeep costs. that said, most new riders aren't out dropping $14k+ on a new bike...

  • the big question is, do want a bike the guy next you at the red light is riding, or do you want one of the finest pieces of two wheel machinery you can buy? i've ridden alot of bikes alot of miles in my 15 years of riding and i can tell you, my next bike will be a ducati ;-D

  • well im really interested in a bike. a ducati would be great to have but i doubt it would be the best first bike???

i would want something that isnt too expensive yet powerful and practical

  • truthfully, a used suzuki gsxr600 (2 years old) would be good for you to learn on...some might disagree, but it would be affordable and comfortable, more so than the R6. the gixxer has smooth power delivery and it's easy to handle for beginning riders...to that end, an R6 really is the cream of the crop for japanese 600s, highest revving, most nimble and with sick power that never ends! just my opinion :-D

  • would it be a drastic change to start of with an R6 rather than a used gsxr 600? what about a honda cbr 600

  • no, the R6 wouldn't be drastic...the honda is a good choice too. the R6 is unique in that, it's not an extremely comfortable bike, it's built more around performance. i feel that when you're first learning to ride, comfort should be of primary concern. if your choose the R6, just keep your weight off of your wrists and hands. and throw away the body by jake ab cruncher!! lol

  • hahaha crap that sounds like it would kill after a long day of riding. i ask about the honda cbr because a friend of mine choose it over the r6 mainly due to comfort and because the sitting stance isnt as aggresive

  • your friend made a great choice, for comfort that is...truth be told, these 600s are so closely matched when ridden on the street, comfort should be of the utmost priority...i've had a long relationship with yamaha and just so happens, the R6 is bad ass AND fits my riding style/level...my best advice is - do what your friend did!!!! good luck!!! :-D

  • what about ease of maintenance? Yamis are a pain in the ass to work on. The fairings use a lot of different screws instead of 1 type (as with suzuki). I personally think an R6 is a bad choice for the street because to tap into its power, you have to rev above 8-9 grand just to get it, below that it feels weak to me. And the seat is super wide causeing me to sit bowlegged, and the ride height it tall, so Im tip toeing all the time. I know everyone is different as far as comfort, though.

  • if a few screws make the difference between your choice of bike, than by all means pick the gsxr...that said, maintenance isnt any more difficult than any other 600. if you aren't 5'9" or taller, seat height is a concern...the cbr600 or gsxr would be a better fit. as for power delivery, my bike is so far from stock i don't remember what it was like then....

  • screws dont make a difference, I used that example to point out the engineering departments poor choices by making the bike not so servicable friendly if you work on your own bike. If you take your stuff to a dealer to get worked on...then ease of maintenance (I mean removing the entire fairings, to gain access to certain things, etc, are much more painful on a yami than others. Example, just installed vortex clip ons on my buddy's 08 r6, and took the top clamp off....continued

  • it didnt line up when we tried putting the top clamp back on. We had to pull the forks hard just to get the top clamp stem to go through. Not a huge problem, but certain a pain in the ass every time we work on his bike. I never encountered these kinds of issues when working on the 3 gixxers Ive owned. I didnt mean to come off as they are higher maintenance, just that ease of accessing things is a PITA. Gixxer fairing comes off with 4 same allen screws and 4 pop rivets...simple.

  • ohh...shit ...I was like...where's the left hand of the man riding the bike..

  • good sound boy

    this R6 have power comander?

in dyno how munch HP have?

  • read info. 109 hp

  • 109 hp is nothing for an 08 r6

  • but it wuld be 109 at the wheels which is pretty good isnt it?

  • My 08 r6 made 131.4 hp at the rear wheel. It has a power commander and aftermarket headers. The intake cam is advanced 4 degrees and that hurts top end power so this goes to show that 109 isn't that much.

  • Skiracer< i would like to see a dyno sheet if your claming numbers that high. I am going to have to call BS untill then. there is no way you squeezed 23 hp out of those mods or any mods for a 600. either your full of shit or the dyno was not tuned right. oh and advancing your timing gives you more top end not less.

  • I will take a pic and have it by this weekend. The cams are changed for more MID RANGE power not top end. Maybe you should read my reply a little better before you jump to conclusions. It was dynoed on a dynapack dyno and is pretty much the best you can get.

  • Hey where's this dyno sheet pic? 7 months seems like ample time to get a link up. Must be lost in the pile with all your other bullshit.

If it IS a legit dyno sheet, it's NOT from a legitimately calibrated and accurate dyno, lol.

  • CAM advancing increases low end torque. you are thinkin of ignition timing. so...before you start callin people out, you might wanna get your facts striaght

  • I'm with you on this one 32bhp does seem a bit much to squeeze out just with those mods..And hey if he can, he best go work for one of the MotoGP or WSB teams where they need guys that can do that..LOL

  • how much does it cost for a dyno run with custom tuning?

  • nice bike bro

how hard was to install the header?

    and if i get this header 4 my R6..will i need a pc3

  • if u get the header and no pc3 it will be ok but ur bikes tune will be a little off. the right way to do it would be to get a oc3 when u do exhaust. but while your at it go ahead and get the BMC race air filter

  • you're both clueless idiots

i just love it when 2 noobs get together and discuss their beliefs and opinions, quite comical!

  • im not sure about the euro models, if im not mistaken they have a few more hp

  • 109 hp?

is it different as in europe?

    Thx charls

  • if i get a new exhaust system but i already dyno tuned it with the old one, do i need to run it on dyno again?

  • yes you would need to re tune your bike. you could ride it with a new exhaust but the air fuel ratio would be off

  • what was the top speed?

  • zio cane !

  • how about posting some results on the bike and its performance ?

  • it says it in the top right corner under "more info" dipshit

  • at what how much torque and rpms dipshit...
