  • @richardrowe1968

The Bone was 93.3 and it's now top 40 i93. 97.9 is hip hop, but they change format so much it might be back soon.

  • The monologue in this song gives me goose bumps as if i were out in 30 degree whether. Love this shit!

  • i saw the Godz in 1979 in huntington wva. they kicked ass but were shortly escorted off the stage by the cops for smoking weed on stage....those bastards

  • Saw these guys open for Angel in St Louis latee 70's. It was one of the most kick-ass shows ever!!!!!

  • Check out Freight Train from SF doing this one on the new cd "Burning Down The Station" on itunes or cdbaby

  • grew up in P-burg and moved to Massillon heard this band through WMMS, moved back to WV and this band played at my freaking high school. band was pissed because of the low turn out, and eventually just let people in for free, that did not stop them from rockin and rollin. people came were impressed I loved it cause, heard it on the radio, but had a front row seat that day and passed the bottle of jack.

  • @LittleHippieGrownUp Awesome, WMMS ROCKS!!!!!!

  • @LittleHippieGrownUp Awesome, WMMS ROCKS!!!!!!

  • Worst rock band i ever saw live. Can't sing, can't play guitar and the drummer isn't as good as Ringo. I couldn't be drunk or stoned enough for this lame shit.

  • Hey shitheads---this is damn good rock! You dont think so? Wuuuuus!

  • sucks!!!

  • not only do/did these guys SUCK HARD,but they're using the name of one of the greatest bands ever.the original Godz would've eaten these douchebags alive.

  • @MrOldgummer ghey

  • @sacrificialblood -not exactly sure what you mean.are you suggesting that i'm "gay"?or have you misspelled "grey","they",or some other word?or is that simply the first thing you typed and went with it?have a good day.

  • @MrOldgummer sheesh youtube is like a gathering place for butt hurt wimps these days is it not?

  • @sacrificialblood actually,i think i agree with you,but i would expand it to the "online world" in general.

  • @MrOldgummer and with statement, don't you have better things to do than piss and moan about a band you don't like?

  • @MrOldgummer The "original" Godz sounded like a field trip from a halfway house for retards wandered into a folk music shop, picked up instruments at random, and some cruel bastard recorded them as a joke. Derivative, aimless, and ineptly executed crap. You obviously know nothing about real Rock 'n Roll. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read your post. I award you a "thumbs down", and may The Godz have mercy on your soul.

  • This is real rock -n- roll before glam rock came rock came on the scene. These are real men rocking their hearts out not some guys wearing women's make-up or women's underwear.I put them on a par with Riot's "Fire Down Under."This is real heavy metal,it is no wonder, several years ago Z-Rock wonld not play their song. This is The Godz anthem song "Gotta Keep Running",first heard it back in 1978 or 1979.I heard on 12'' LP before cassette and cds.Like I said this is real heavy mteal to its core.

  • lets not forget" Heyward Law and Mike Adams,,,,Brothers Fallen not Forgotten"

  • if they're so great, how come the ratings have been disabled? just another hair band. ho hum.........

  • @jukeking1 First of all, the Godz were no "hair band". And if you were never there, or never saw them live back in the day, then it's possible you might think them "just another....". But they weren't just another ANYTHING... they were Godz.

  • Metal forged deep in the well. You don't get better than the Godz.

  • my buddy Gino used to play drums for them!

  • I remember seeing these guys at the old "Flying Machine" on Rt 619 near Portage Lakes. The funniest thing was that when I was in my car for a bit...about every ten minutes, a group of people would walk outside...a fight would start, the winner would go in with his buddies, then the loser would get up...and stagger back in with HIS buddies. This happened so regular that you could set your watch by it,,,haha.

  • @JPowell712 Not sure what to tell you. Itunes nor Napster has it. I happen to have this LP on vinyl myself.

  • Unbelievable what you can find on youtube these days! I saw The Godz and Flint open for Triumph in 1978 believe it or not. Triumply blew me away with their light show and Rik Emmett's playing but The Godz kicked some ass also. By the way, Flint consisted of two of the original members of Grand Funk (no Mark Farner though). Great show!

  • LOL. I'm not old enough to remember these guys, but my uncle lent me a copy of this album a few years ago, and I've made a copy for myself that I've kept ever since.

    Forgive me RIAA :)

The licensing they put on music, film, software, and books are BS anyways...

It makes no sense to prevent copying, when things can be copied for virtually no cost. Forgive me for my rant. Just got back from a night out :)

  • the party house in mansfield club 42 ashland seen them at least 30 times true rock and roll machines

  • ROCK-N-ROLL junkie, keep the R-N-R machine alive...ROCK TILL I DROP...

  • This song and Candys Gone Bad are awesome. This was the very first band I ever seen in concert, at the Rockford Illinois Armory, they opened for Angel in 78. Had the album but dont know where it ended up. MACHINEEEEES

  • Back in 1976 they opened for the Babies and Angel in Cleveland, someone stole one of Angels semis full of there equipment. I plaid drums and drove my Nabors crazy playing to that first album. Several months ago I was driving with my wife, I now live in Phoenix and Got to Keep a running came on and I thought I was going to nut myself. I cranked that sucker up and my wife thought I had lost it.

  • It dont get better!!!!!!!

  • When I was a young, frustrated Disco Casualty, this song was like my personal anthem....

  • ROCK BABE

  • Brings back memories here, too. Saw them at the Sam Houston Coliseum - no - scratch that - it was the Music Hall next door and bought the album the next day. They opened a three-band show followed by a young band named Judas Priest and Frank Marino And Mohagany Rush closed it out. I was about 15 and it was the first time I ever got sick without the benefit of being medically sick. What a night!! Those guys and Coney Hatch were the best bands not many ever heard before. I loved 'em.

  • NOw that sounds like a concert!!

  • 1 of the best rock'n'roll bands EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • went to see the godz in 78 at vets in cbus along with iggy pop who we booed off the stage. iggy fliped us off and the godz took the stage and rocked, hreat fun in those days.

  • Man I followed these guys around every weekend from Zanesville to Columbus, Eric Moore signed my high school year book at a performance at Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville. I am so glad they are back again. Got a urban legend party coming up to raise money for a wedding but already booked rif raf. The godz for urban legend party 3 has to be in the plans somehow.

  • Ohio in the 70s and early 80s = The Godz and McGuffey Lane

  • It just doesn't get better. I can't count how many parties I've rocked to the Godz. The movie about Anvil should be about the Gdoz.

  • This song brings back great memories. I met Glen Cataline at his home in 1978, and met Eric Moore at his home a few years ago. This music made me become a musician!
