I think I am going to get the Omega, it's $170 at ZZZounds. I am a noob at the computer music stuff and I just got a dual core 2GHZ, 3 GB Ram Sony Vaio laptop. I have been recording with a Korg recording studio for about 4 years now and I thought I would try something new. It's kind of overwhelming though. Thanks for your reply.
Hey phedex, you sound great. I am planning on getting either the Omega or the Lamda. How do you like the Lamda? Also, where can I get some Baby Rogaine?
Thanks man. I think the Lambda is VERY easy to use. I was a bit concerned with the learning curve, because music software is like that.. but Cubase has been easy to figure out without reading an entire manual while taking a dump, and the lambda itself hasn't given any surprises. My computer isnt exactly a beast either, P4 2.8. The only weird thing is i can't figure out how to mix down to MP3, or if its possible. I just converted with itunes. Go buy one!!
When mixing down with Cubase there is a pulldown menu under the field where you enter the name of your composition. You just have to select the type of file you would like to save your track as well as bit-rate and sample-rate. Hope this helps.
