I don't know why but it always seemed to me that Dave was always happier in his Nirvana days.He seemed to be so much more,I dunno,It just seems that since Kurt's death he hasn't been the same :( Maybe it's just me.

all i see is that Dave calls all the shots... and taylor is the second coolest, the other bandmates are just there kinda to fill the lineup.

taylor kinda reminds me of kurt cobain cause of the blonde hair sometimes, since he's always with dave.

look how awkward everyone gets when they ask about hard times.. nate used to hate taylor when taylor first joined and taylor almost didnt get to join. you notice no one will look in nates direction haha

Not to discount that but actually I think there are at least two things that preceed that as a "hard time" - Taylor's OD and near death in 2001 and Franz's brief stint in the band, which according to post interviews was terrible because he and Dave did not get along (even stopped even talking to each other). I read one interview with Taylor where he said that Dave and Franz wouldn't even enter from the same side of the stage anymore. That had to be horrible.

right i think thats what he was hinting when he said people leaving the band... nate seems kinda homoish to me anyway just from watching a bunch of these interviews. when he does talk he seems all proper while dave and taylor are cussin up a storm havin a good time

It seems to me that Dave and Taylor are just more animated and loud while Nate and Chris are much more relaxed. They're very chill. I like the vibe they give off...It's like Dave's the funny one, Taylor's the cool one, Chris's the quiet one, and Nate's the intellectual one. No one seems jealous of anyone else to me. They all seem to get along very well.

Well, I don't know for sure since I'm not in the band, but if I had to guess I'd chalk it up to their very different personalities. Nate is quiet and intellectual. Let's face it - Taylor is a loud spaz (or at least he used to be). I have a feeling that he was probably annoying to be around if you were a quiet person like Nate. Maybe it took living at Dave's house and recording the 3rd album for them to learn to like each other. Just a hunch though.

my personal opinion is becuase whenever taylor joined the band, it took a lot of the spotlight off of nate. like how now everywhere you see dave, you see taylor. back then everywhere you saw dave you saw nate. so i think nate was jealous plus taylor didnt like nate's musical work so they quit performing nates music and i dont think he liked it. but obviously im not in the band, just an educated opinion.

thats true. dave and taylor get a lot of attention, and nate and chris don't. i think they should become more active on interviews, but like any other band, there is always that member/members who is/are always on the spotlight.
