When the deficit started spiralling out of controll he raised taxes 6 out of the 8 years he was in office including corporate and payroll taxes. I don't blame Hoover totally for the depression although the 90% drop in the DOW occurred totally during his term.
Hoover wanted to put some money to work on a stimulus program but he had a Republican Congress at the time which thought everything would be find if they simply said "No" to Hoover & just put a freeze on government spending.
Of course, it wasn't okay & the DOW continued down.
Finally FDR came in w/ a Dem Congress. It took several months but they got the economy going again.

The current congress is putting us so far in to debt that we will NEVER be able to get out of. The dollar will hyper-inflate at the same rate that our debt increases. The FED is dumping too much fiat dollars in the system. The FED is causing the recession then a depression. The quasi-private banks of the FED will destroy us, then force us in to a World Bank. The saying goes... You control the money, you control the world. THINK ABOUT IT.

The FED is made up of quasi-private INTERNATIONAL banks. Collapsing the dollar would force us to do what...we will have to do whatever that International bank says because their money is not the dollar. This group of international bankers have already cornered the market on precious materials. They own it. We are screwed if the FED calls in the loan that the federal govt owes the FED. Taxes doesnt pay for the federal govt, a loan with interest from the FED does. Get the picture.
