i agree 100% silverchair are a gulty pleasure they awere post grunge and very derivitive but fun nonetheless hopefully fans can use them as some sort of reference point and go back and listen to thier obvious influences and get educated, in which case they would have served a pretty cool purpose, just an opinion, peace guys.

Take some, black sabbath, metallica and a twist of grunge (nirvana and pearl jam) and you got yourself a silverchair band...

Musically it's correct but it's nothing special.

But still they are one of the most populair (commercial) bands around.
