Montserrat est superbe dans cet air. N'es déplaise aux inconditionnels de Maria Callas, qui de toute façon n'ont aucune bonne foi et veulent absolument tout ramener à Callas. Pour ma part je considère le timbre et la couleur de la voix de Montserrat nettement supérieurs et à ceux de Callas mais aussi de Tebaldi,...et pourtant je les apprécie aussi beaucoup!!!

I find her voice forced and her diction not that good, she sounded better

on other occasions. Still a beautiful voice, but this opera is not for her also

I think she treats this song more delicately than did Tebaldi. Her version was very powerful and very poignant. This version seems to give the character more sensitivity, which is one of La Caballe's stronger points.

if you listen well you will hear the inspiration coming from Tebaldi to Caballe she sings this so well that i for one would still be cheering now.

This donizetti pianissimo does not work for verdi, at least in this heavy role - it has no intensity. otherwise, truly great!

She is OK - But Tebaldi is better.

Her diction is not very and her voice not very steady - her voice is not powerful enough

for this aria IMO. Still a great singer.
