@applesweeter 1)I didn't understand this question. 2) The good old times 60's or 70's when the love is really blue, not black as today. 3) Nice question, I probably will be dreaming about Vicky, singing this song...
@applesweeter Vicky,is Vicky Leandros (or Vassiliki Papathanaissou) who is the original singer of this song. She joined the ESC'69 with this song and came 4th.
I imagine a world,in which the love is really blue.I imagine Vicky, the good old times in which I have never lived. I sometimes cry...I don't like "today".
of course, he may be conducting, but I remember seeing him on television in the late 60's sitting down at a piano and banging out this beautiful song himself, and it was breathtaking!
I liste to every version of this song. It's classic and timeless. When PM's version came out in the 60s it became an icon of the era. Even thought it was not acid rock or flower rock or hippyish or protest music it was still an important part of that time.
To all who love this music, go to ebay and order the cd, Mystic Moods Orchestra's "Stormy Weekend"!! It is THE most BEAUTIFUL music you will ever hear, and this song is the first one on it!! I PROMISE you will NEVER ever regret it!!!
You can find it here on You Tube-it might still be here somewhere. Listen to all the different versions by Paul Mauriat. It's a crisp sound - smooth and magical. OR
you can find it on itunes. I found a copy of it and downloaded it to my ipod and my desktop and listen to it while surfing the net. OR if you don't have an ipod you can like I said...download it to your desktop.
When I was in fourth grade, age 9 or 10, I began taking baton twirling lessons. I studied it for years. Eventually I was the majorette performing at half time at I.U. Football games and THIS IS THE SONG I did my solo performance to. I can still do it to this day and I am well over 50 now. I hear this music and I want to throw a spinning silver rod in the air and catch it in my other hand, right on the beat.
jamie2628-I feel this is one of the finest songs I have ever heard. I can't find words to describe it. Just listening to it brings me to a place where I wouldn't want to leave. lOVELY.
I was haunted by it when I first heard Vicky Leandros sing it at Eurovision.(even though she was so young and sang a rather jolly but very innocent version) I was 13...I couldn't get it out of my head. Very very special.
I could listen for ages to this bliss of music.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) What imagine does this song inspire you?
(2) What does the memory this song recall you?
(3) How will you feel if you listen to this song when flying on a commercial jet?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

Paul Mauriat and his band visited Korea twice. His moves conducting the band and his songs meserized the audience.
I loved all of his songs. He made an indelable impression on me what a fine musician should be like. He is a genius nobody can copy him.

This is a cover from Vicky Leandros' Eurovision Song Contest entry for Luxemburg the previous year, but it is so much better than the original! :D

Find & listen to the original 1968 version by Paul Mauriat. It's really the best version. This skips and it doesn't compare.
