@mitchellsailor the rudder would have not made a difference here me thinks, anyway look ok, cheap and go well.. Not for me but the design onviously works.. :)
I thought about getting one of these, but as I sail on the sea (often have big waves) it looks like the Vortex's tendency to dig its bows and flip would make it un-suitable for sailing in rough coastal water. Any comments from people who have done this ????? otherwise it looks great fun
EPIC FAIL comes to mind. why sail a useless multihull with one hopeless rudder so it can be classified a mono?

you don't have to, it's time consuming if you do. You should uncleat the kite though, take some power out of it.
