  • This video deserves a comment because its just one of th best cars out there. Thumbs up :)

  • Thanks for the Video!

  • My 1999 528i does that too. Only I gotta use the key specifically to roll the windows up.

  • nice, my '97 nissan maxima se does that standard

  • @mickeymoose76 maybe your being chased by baddies and don't have time to open the door so you dive through the window highly unlikely but you never no it could happen

  • Nice, I have a 97 e39 540i and i can do it to with my remote control too

Nice video and nice car tho, BMW are simply the best

  • I'm very jealous. Alpine white!! me too!! I want this and I want this now.

  • Hey so mine is coded and it will do the open but it wont close. i tried and tried my production date is 10/1998

  • kozackie BMW !

  • A friend came over and did it for me. You need to have GT1 to interface with the car.

  • where did u get it coded? thanks

  • well, you don't live in southern california where we hit temperatures of over 100 degrees in the summer.

  • @bgdsub72 Indeed. or teh armpit of hell known as phoenix az. this would be msot useful. lemme ask do you have ( does this car have) remote start too?. seems that would be QUITE nice in climates like yours

  • @bgdsub72 yes, and?

  • No, you're wrong. In the US this only works for down, not up. It requires special euro coding to put the windows up with the key. That's the point of the video

  • That is correct! Unless! You stick the key in the keyhole and turn it to the armed position and hold it there, then that's a way of rolling the windows up from the outside of the car

  • and um whats the point of this video excatly?

  • to confuse you, did it work...

    are you that retarded?

  • uh yea so every car can do that so what your point of posting something that random on youtube

  • because in the US none of the e38 BMW 7 series do this. It was coded with a bmw interface and special program to turn this feature on. They all come with windows down by remote but they don't have windows up by remote.

  • My 1999 BMW 323i once did the same thing and really annoyed me!!!!

  • my cousin has the same thing on his 2002 A6

  • I am able to do this on my stock Acura TL 2006 with the factory remote... When you hold the unlock button for about 3-5 seconds all windows roll down and the sunroof opens as well... When you hold the lock button for the same amount of time they all roll up and sunroof closes as well...

  • its factory fitted on my e38

  • Only window down is factory on US e38's. Window up was never an option on US cars.

  • Mine won't do that, I need to find out how to get this working on my car.

  • This is your video is it not?

  • no you can't. This feature is not enabled from the factory on US cars or at least e38's. This has to be coded on to work

  • I so want that on my 2001 e38 but nobody will tell me how to do the mod. Can you help?

  • It can only be done by BMW coding software, so you pretty much need to know someone who has inside connections to BMW as I doubt the dealer will do this for you.
