  • @PieceofMindmusic its the first song and its so early its not even dark :)

bellgium people are - always drunk 24/7 - they dont wake up until its dark, and than they eat the hazelnuts they hid under some leaves

  • @deWORLDsucks hahahaha yes i have a friend from Belgium and she says thats verry true!

  • @PieceofMindmusic

in fact during this show (i was there) iggy invited the audience to the stage, resulting in a crowd of about 60 people dancing on stage. so i don't think this is a bad audience.

i agree however, that the audience is not often seen in this video, so blame the filming crew.

  • @PieceofMindmusic ah yes ive seen that video of everyone mobing the stage, didnt realize it was the same gig. thanks for clearing that up, mustve been really cool to see em with ron!

  • fantastic show ... iggy the best

  • rarely do i enjoy a band. i mean 'artists' of all kinds are true definitive assholes. bar none. but hey, you know something, i enjoyed this video very much. go figure.

  • @ybot1983

Im 53 years old and never in a million years did I think The Stooges would ever reform, and to be as kick-ass as they are is the best thing that ever happened to me in my lifetime......except The Beatles

  • @ybot1983 No maybe about it :p

  • Hot performance, and I've Iggy play dozens of times, from '73 until now.

  • Ode to Ron, yet another dead hero...

  • R.I.P Ron

  • cool....

  • Rip Ron you goddamn shredder! many riffs in mourning..

  • its 2009!!!

OKAY all across the USA another year with nothing to do

    BUT GO TO WAR!!!

  • this song has nothing to do with your dumb-ass politics.

  • how the FUCK has there been all this talk of punk and not a SINGLE mention of the ramones?!?!?!?!? the clash and sex pistols kinda stole the ramones sound when the ramones toured britain.

the stooges and the ramones two of the best punk bands ever no one will ever come close.

  • how can you hate on the ramones?

sex pistols I can understand. but joey and the gang??

cmon man you cant honestly tell me youve never shouted "hey ho Lets go" along with joey when you hear blitzkrieg bop.

  • ok u r right. not in class of iggy. thyre nothin special.

  • i don't like punk but i love the ramones and the stooges!!! they are just great. hast nothin to do with this wannabe punk bands today.

  • actualy the pistols took more of there image and sound from telivison

  • More accurately: the New York Dolls.

  • Ronald RIP, i saw you live a year ago and i wanted to see you again

    RIP!!

  • prrrrrrr ohw ohw

  • RIP Ron Asheton. This has been and always will be my favorite band.

  • ... wow.

  • WABX ROCKS !

  • ¡¡ Ron Asheton !!

  • And condoleances to SCOTT ♫+♫

  • One of the greatist guitar players . The best feel . A killer .

  • R.I.P. Ron Asheton... a sad day for rock 'n roll

  • why was the weirdness so awful?

  • reunion albums always are ;)

lol wait for the next album i guess XD

  • its a sad day for that will never happen now

    RIP

    Ronald Frank Asheton July 17, 1948 - January 6, 2009

  • i do think that free and freaky is a great song off that lp. i just think expectations are so high you can't possibly meet them. r.i.p. ron

  • I was suppose, i just think the lyrics are lacking. I guess i'll have to learn to like it, i don't think there will be another one. rip ron.

  • Similar riff to U2's Desire, of course Iggy did this first

  • I'm always amazed to think they came up with this song in... 1969! Right when others were still tripping out in hippy land (which I like too by the way)

Every other "punk fan" talks about the Pistols in 75-79, but the Stooges came together in 67, ten years before! This band was so ahead of the game in 69, total visionaries. They coined a new, über-violent, brilliant version of Punk, and to me, they also closed the loop, their songs are both perfect beginnings, and perfect maturation of Punk.

  • This song has the same riff as another song, but i can't figure it out

  • Iggy and the Stooges!

  • dam hes so rip for an old guy.

    iggy rules

  • Love the Stooges!

  • i love how ron just stands there!

  • This is true punk. All those Blink 182/Good Charlotte wanna-be douche bags still ain't got a thing on Iggy.

I know he's got the Asheton bros backing him, but who's the bass player?

  • mike watt!! awesome bass player! great band here

  • The Minutemen fucking rule.

  • Same applies to most of great bands... Look how pitiful are all the bands influenced by Nirvana...

  • iggy!

  • pre punks! the oldies punks in the earth! awesome!

  • punk/metal/hard rock/trash all came right off albums like raw power

  • for me, iggy laid the foundation for modern rock...aka metal, punk and indie.

although these genres were specifically invented by other bands.

  • Want to know how punk rock was invented ? Listen to Funhouse.

  • Same thing i have been saying to EVERYONE. Even wrote an article about it...

  • Cop THIS....Mick Jogger./

  • You can tell bands like Janes addiction listened to a lot of Stooges in there day! Great footage, thanks for sharing!

  • this has to be one of my favorite youtube videos.

  • Wow... Says alot about music today... He's, what, nearly 60-ish? And he still has more charisma and stage prescence than alot of youth bands today making millions of dollars... Tut tut.

  • he stage dived on his 60th lol..! nuff said.

  • the stooges were probably the best band that never made it big it really is a dissapointment . i like to listen to there music cause you can almost here the heroin

  • Go on...tell us REAL music then....fall out boy? MCR? Green Day?

    HAAAAAA

  • I touched his wierd skin... he's really a wierdo... but really nice
