C++, using existing libraries that hooked into the VICON, it wasn't more than a few hundred lines of code that just smoothed input, and hooked into BF2
This was actually a research project, every year certain profs let you work with them, which is much more fun and rewarding then normal courses IMO. I did this one with Ravin Balakrishnan. The course code is csc490
It is a waste of technology. I recommend you to use a tri-axial accelerometers in order to do this kind of "easy task" instead of use a system that cost many thousands of euros like the Vicon.
Why don't you create a program where it tracks what a web cam sees and what the computer screen shows, the mouse would be able to move where the webcam sees (in the middle) and where it distorts.
Very nice, the movement is so smooth and the controller itself responds for fast to the change in the X,Y,Z planes! So, why hasn't M$ or Nintendo hire you yet? lol

Wouldn't call it a waste of technology ...
I had a 4th year research course that gave us a room of existing technology and we had 2 months to make something cool.
I didn't pay for the system, it was already there.. As I mentioned in my video description, sure beats writing a history paper ;)

What you did is amazing!
Though if this would go commercial,
there should be something else than 10 camera's around you,
for such contraption isn't easy to put around your PC.
