  • honestly the intro did not sound good

  • Fucking love this song!! Always have...the bass...guitars...Matt Cameron;s drumlines..and then the singing...jesus....those notes, this song made me a Soundgarden fan over 10 years ago...." if this isn't makin' sense"...that voice..

  • When the tune starts it feels like goodness.

    Soooooooooouuuuuuuuullllll

  • yes their best song its so cool so fashion so grungy so fucking amaizing riffs I miss sg

  • I miss Soundgarden...Big time.

  • I 100% agree. This IS their best song ever but the video still is one of the worst failures ever...

  • What I said. But it was common in these days. Just show off 3d. It was cool then

  • Dude!

Is that the 'official' video?? Wow, what a miss! This has to be one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded, but I've never ever looked for a video before 'cos it has such a visual charge in itself that it resonates in my head too much. Glad these guys took the trip so I could hear it tho'; not sure I'd want to do it myself...Next time I need to check the lyrics I'll do it on the 'phones.

    Peace and love y'all

  • I think this is SG's best song ever... the end. Go home everyone. Drive safe or call a taxi.

  • agree 100%. stood the test of time

  • fkkkkkin imense!!!! luv soundgarden they ruled!!! awsum band :D

  • So much groove in the drums

    Soundgarden is above music

  • so much groove in the drums, couldn't have said it better...

  • not how I would have done it...

  • the video is sooo crappy

it's more like 'hey, look what crappy 3d we can make' than that it means anything

  • this is what you get when a drugged up director has a lot of CG technology on his hands

  • Soundgarden is goodness!

    Just listen to that.

  • This is my favorite soundgarden song

  • it an ok song

  • alot of sun god reference towards the end

  • reminds me of jesus christ pose with the insane guitar, hard to say which i prefer, both are incredibly awesome.

  • Kim Thayil = God

  • Soundgarden needs to reunite and tour with Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains!

  • Comment removed

  • exactly

  • I'm better than you!

  • You sir are a brilliant man.

  • Second fav soundgarden song

  • first: Black Hole Sun

  • nop jesus christ pose

  • soundgarden belo som...genial esses caras!!!!!!!

  • Amazing song!

  • Well said shadaxsolstice. I agree 100%. I miss this band soooo damn much. This song/band is amazing. ROAD RASH FTW!!!

  • This vid was cutting edge back in 1995......

  • wow, those animations got really old :D Still, love Soundgarden and this song :)

  • Love this song =)

It's all about how life isn't black and white. There's always more than just a choice between do it or dont do it. Shades of gray in everything.

  • first it steals you r mind then it steals your ....

  • This whole album is just so sweetly heavy!

  • I'm glad I was a teenager in the 90's. So so glad.

  • i hate you so much. so so much :))))) (no offense I'm just kidding. I'm 22 now. I know. suxxez.)

  • lol. Such a great album - it's been on my top 5 "list" for a long time now

  • Nope, it was rolling over and seeing Courtney Love laying there that did it.

  • Lmao! to both you guys

  • fuckin awesome

  • Freakin' Sweet !!!!

  • i know hehe

  • This is my alltime favorite Soundgarden song, it sounds like something from Black Sabbath's "Volume Four", a great high energy rocker!

  • I need to buy this cd again.

  • Lighten up...

  • ive only seen the planet caravan video on the pantera vulgar vidoes i think thats the only place you could find it but you gotta check it out its like these two videos could be two dif. levels in the same video game

  • You must have a different version, I have Vulgar Videos and it doesn't have Planet Caravan.

  • you could go in the watch videos option and find it OR maybe mine is different i rebought it a while back and it wasnt three discs anymore they made whole set of three with two discs maybe it was a bonus but i doubt it

  • I always thought this was one of Soundgardens best songs, I don't know why it didn't get as much attention as some of their other hits like Black Hole Sun, Spoonman and Pretty Noose

  • It's like that with almost every SG song..

Every single song written by Soundgarden has been spectacular, yet received almost no credit.

  • True that

  • Yeah, Black Hole Sun and Spoonman used to be my favorites for a long time. Great songs, but I think this one is my favorite now!

  • pretty reasonable, since this is their best song by far :)

  • Awesome video and song.

Did anyone else think the tunnel sorta looked like the wormhole from the tv show Sliders?

  • haha, gotta love the 90's CGI!!

  • did anybody ever see the video to 'planet caravan', the pantera cover of sabbath?

    same look

  • I didn't know there was a video, but that's a fucking great song.

  • Although Cornell's voice is like " crack/cocaine " it does have a grunge sound to it. Soundgarden and Audioslave are both awesome!!!

  • I personally believe soundgarden was much more relevant than audioslave. i love rage and soundgarden, and audioslave was good, but as far as any kind of lasting impact, the earlier bands destroy audioslave.

  • love this song..amazing vocals. it's a such a highway driving song too

  • Soundgarden owns and linkin park sux

  • yes, but how is this relevant?

  • this music symbolizes this era for me. Like when i hear Soundgarden i see the 90's in my head and all that was fuckin awesome to me back then and so does Dream Theater.

  • Soundgarden isn't grunge.

    Soundgarden is Soundgarden Period

  • I love the vocal harmony during the chorus. Damn Chris Cornell is an amazing vocalist.

I wish Soundgarden would get back together..

  • it wouldn't be the same. they have nothing left to prove. whilst they are truly awesome, their breakup marked the end of an era.

  • It's been over a decade, the chemistry has probably faded. They'd run the risk of producing a 'not so good' album.

  • Grunge Forever

  • best soundgarden song

  • always wondered why soundgarden is pegged grunge, sounds much closer to led zeppling and other 70s rock...

great great song, amazing guitar and vocal solos

  • I can't find the words to explain how I feel everytime I listen to Soundgarden

  • I wish they play this on the radio stations all the time instead of freaking gay Kings of Leon

  • This band plain and simple rocks,,fuckin rocks

  • Soundgarden compares to any 1970s super group.

  • I'm not sure i ever saw this on tv. I have this from an Enhanced CD Single that they released. It had this video, some live clips. It was setup as a first person walk through to find the various clips and things. It also had the music video for the day i tried to live, and a live version of kickstand that you can see in this video where Chris has his head shaved.

  • How does this only have 100,000 views? Fucking amazing song! I love it. Took me forever to find.

  • allliiiive in the Superunknown!

    amazing song....amazing band...how i miss thee Soundgarden :(

  • I oddly love this music video, it just fits the song so well. I also love that guitar!

  • Kick ass video for a kick ass song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Seems like rise against copied this riff a bit in re-education through labor.

  • i have had the privlage of seeing both soundgarden and audioslave and both r amazing this by far is the best song i heard from both concerts

  • vote for best SG cd:

    1: superunknown.

    2: DOTU.

    3: Badmotorfinger.

    4: everything else.

  • 1. superunkown

    2. BMF

    3. DOTU

    4. screaming life/fopp

    5. louder than love

    6 ultramega ok

  • Noob: "A sides is the best!"

  • badmotorfinger is the best

  • I had no idea this had a video. Awesome!

I concur to whoever said that Cornell should stop his dance-influenced stuff, and reunite Soundgarden. They could have kept making great music. Their best 2 albums were their last 2!!!!

  • you never listend two the first two

  • I did actually... wasn't as impressed as I was with the final 2.

  • i think everyone can agree soundgarden fuckin rules

  • all hail soundgarden. fuck stp.

  • Oh god, this song is almost depressing to me now, ever since I heard CC's newer stuff. Go back to the good old Soundgarden sound Chris, not your new shallow dance crap!

  • I wish he could, but his voice is blown,so he's having a REALLY tough time screaming now. But man, imagine a kickass Cornell show again. Although his songs from his first cd were good.

  • Yeah, his voice is pretty fucked.

That and he cleaned up a lot, so his 'motivation' is no longer a factor.

Oh well, still good (audioslave), but you can't deny that SG is 10x.

  • I had no idea this song had a video clip!

  • Pure AMAZING

  • fuck

  • I agree - this is my favorite soundgarden, I also like Fell On Black Days a lot.

  • Best Soundgarden song -- I don't know where other people get their idea that BHS is it.

  • i agree, BHS is a great song but not their best

  • That's because BHS won a Grammy.

  • best album though. 2nd goes to down on the upside for me

  • for me down on the upside goes 1st, but that was a tough decision to make though, Superunknown and DOTU are awesome

  • lol yeah sure does remind me of road rash, therefore great tune, great game!!!!

  • beginning look s alot like RHCP idk which came first though

  • this did

  • I didn't even know there was a video for this song. Wikipedia doesn't even acknowledge that there is.

  • Hey, I was wondering that too.

  • That remembers me to Road Rash great Band :)

  • Awesome song!

  • prolly the most underrated SG song

  • RIGHT ON!! how Spoonman was played a million times on the radio and i never heard superunknown is unconsciousable to be

  • i have it in orange vinyl !

  • One thing I don't like about this song is how at the end it suddenly cuts off. Total buzz kill, but I still love the song and always will.

  • Ha! As a kid I had always thought it was due to a faulty CD. I wonder what they were thinking when they did that.

  • some ppl here are confused about what rap is, its not that stupid soulja boy shit or the no talent mainstream jokes its the underground rap that is the shit

  • Rap = Can't figure out how to sing it or can't sing period. So you speak it fast. Even if you can sing, it's also about how you spew out the melody.

Yelling = Same goes for those bands that just yell because they can't sing or figure out how to put out the melody.

Exceptions: When any of the above sounds good, meaning they put effort and intended for that effect. MC hammer, Lincoln park

  • Actually LP Is one of the worst bands of all time

  • pretty much! they havent quite reached the same status as fall out boy though

  • i hope to god you're joking

  • i was referring to the guy who said that LP was one of the worst bands of all time. and i was saying that in awfulness they have almost reached that same status. i wasn't joking, but i also wasn't saying what you think i was saying!

  • linkin park sucks lol

  • A+ animation lol but this song is great and the beginning of the video is exactly like RHCP's cant stop

  • heres how you solve the rap vs rock in my book..

girls show more titts at a rock show FACT

rock shows have energy and pits

    wile rap..

has a bunch of GUYS ripping there shirts off..

and nothing but a bunch of head bobbers getting "krunk"

    rock 6

    rap 0

    (tits= 5 points) lmao

  • rap sounds just like the happening comming out my ass hole..

  • Rap has started to die out its all Shity R&B wat a fucked up genre

  • This Song is from Road Rash! :-)

  • bad motorfinger - superunknown - down on the upside...Nuff said !

  • I've found that Soundgarden are the only band that you can listen to with any mood. . . And I mean anything. . . The fusion of Zepp and Sabbath is just unparalelled. . . I'd do anything to live in Soundgarden days, not this shit Timbaland crap

  • I'd have to say my favorite Soundgarden tracks are this one (duh), Tighter & Tighter, Like Suicide (the acoustic version is fucking AMAZING), New Damage, and Limo Wreck...

But honestly, pretty much everything this band ever released was top fucking notch. God, I miss Soundgarden...

  • Amazing song.

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

  • this band single-handedly made me want to play guitar

  • u gotta lov the guitar riff

  • nah. thier best song is pretty noose.

  • Pretty Noose?

    Are you insane!?

There's so many songs better than that.

But hey, this is Soundgarden, so to be honest, I can't even come out with a favourite.

  • awsome song, simply awsome

  • one of soundgardan's best song's!!!!

  • Their best song hands down

  • this was in the pc version of road rash, god the video is so reminiscent of the shop XD

  • I didn't even know his song had a video

  • i like 90s music but in every decade people have said that the music of that decade sucks but the music of previous decades is the best, at least after the 1960s

  • Yes but we're the first ones who are right with that! ;-) Nah I guess it has something to do with childhood memories. For sure I'm glad mine are connected to such music instead of - in my ears - junk like "50 cent".

  • I agree with your comment. I also love the 90s and the culture, fashion, aesthetics and childhood memories. except the only difference is next decade im still gonna think this decade sucks.

  • Couldn't have put it better myself. Maybe we just grew up and saw the world for what it really is. When you're a kid it's all awesome. I'm wondering if nutty 80s metalhead kids grew up and hated the 90s.

  • fuck what i said 2000 has been dope as fuck so far especially in the hip hop scene i love it atm

  • dude hip hop sucks

  • You have no right to comment on this awesome video. Hip hop single-handedly ruined music.

  • No, people like you ruined music.

  • Seriously though, rap sucks. Rock is about 100 times better because it actually follows a melody and stuff.

  • Chris Cornell Has been Touring with Timbaland.

    RATM Rap in their songs.

Its not my favorite but its too Ignorant to Bash on other people's music.

  • Cornells thing with timbaland is just a bad move in my opinion. Again, this is my OPINION. I'm not being ignorant, I am simply expressing my thoughts.

  • Don't worry Its nothing against you.

  • And thats why rock bands play at the super bowl every year? Rap is dying out. Sure, there are no rock stars, but there are some great rock bands, even alt rock bands and stuff. You can't deny that rock is starting to get more popular and rap is dying out because people are realizing that it all sounds the same and have the same crappy lyrics.

  • hey man i dunno what rap music you listen to but the real shit will never die and the scene is only getting bigger and bigger from where im standing. i could also say the same thing about rock music there are only so many fucking guitar chords in the world everythings been done so everything sounds the same and has for the last thirty years. im not knocking rock i mean im a huge fan im watching superunknown for christ sake but to say hip hop is dead is a fallacy.

  • Well I'm from the US, and rap here SUCKS.

  • Ok. Why the fuck are you arguing?

I enjoy stuff by BIGGIE and I also LOVE Soundgarden, and I find that shit by Soulja Boy is equally as embarassing as something made by Nickelback.

So let's all just shut the fuck up,

  • Amazing comment. Thumbs up!

  • Besides, NONE of you can disagree, this song ROCKS.

  • true, soundgarden rocks

besides, all the rap haters here haven't done their research. The Top 40 isn't a good representation of hip hop. Go look up the underground stuff, like Atmosphere or Busdriver. They're INCREDIBLE. Just stay away from the mainstream rap and there's a bottomless pit of awesome music waiting to be found

  • grunge=music god, i was born in the 90s XP

  • This song fucking rocks!!!! Awesome!!!

  • best soundgarden tune

  • i miss the 90s:(

  • god damn! there was a euphoria of insanely good music during the 90's, sadly i cant say that for the 2000's, all pop music bullshit

  • Im Still A Little Kid, 13, But I Wish I Was Born In 80-90's Cuz This Music Is WAYYYYY better Than the Shit Now.
