on a lighter note, noud is spending new years with lucas! :) i love how close they are as friends, hopefully they will become somthing more in 2010 :)

Does gay bashing still happen in the Netherlands? To me Dutch people are the most open minded people in the world. I understand this kind of thing happening in America where a lot of gays don't have the most basic rights (e.g. the Southern states), but in the Netherlands gay people have equal rights including same sex marriage (not totally sure...).

In the past few years there were some incidents off gay violance. We have also groups of christians and muslims who don't want gay teachers to teach at their schools. This year a teacher was fired because he had a gay relationship. It are incidents, but its happens! Gays can't adopt a child as a couple, only as a single person.
@st80is that is ridculous firing a teacher because they are gay. I mean his or her personal life has bearing on their ability to teach. the people that fired the teacher really need their head examined!
