  • im already on 9disks :DDD ... ... ~

  • I play this with 6 different sized coins 

  • @bubonicbieber what, you don't believe me? lol

  • @bubonicbieber It's not totally mindless. It's a classic problem in computer science courses, specifically as an exercise in recursion.

  • *play again*uh fuck no.

  • Chuck Norris can do this in six moves.

  • How long would it take to move 12,345 disks if you made one move per second.

  • @2016JonesAL it would take billions of years to move 64, so you would be doing that beyond the timeline of our universe

  • @bubonicbieber totally agreed. We are not computers...we are capable of much more complex thought.

  • Not optimal :P

  • 4:36 Yeah, move that base

  • It takes about 40196936841331500000milleniums to move 100rings of tower of hanoi (1 millenium is 1000years)

  • 24 disks take 16776535 moves.........

  • i love how people waste 20 minutes of their life doing this.. the purpose is what??

  • @EmmRox1212

    fun?

  • I got into the hanoi again (used to try it all the time when I was little). this time I immediately saw the pattern and now when i close my eyes before I sleep I see a tower solving itself.

Once ya get the pattern the mental process is amazingly fluid

  • 11 disks would take minimum 2047...20 disks take 1048575 moves.

  • where can i download the game?

  • I have to make a program that does this in MIPS....ugh

  • 10 Turns too much ;)

  • try solving in paper with a pen.

  • whats the whole point in here??

  • i created a facebook app for this tower of hanoi game. just search for "JavaScript Tower of Hanoi" on facebook. this is pure javascript and does not require flash, applet or images.

  • You beat Contra! However, you lost unnecessarily many lives. Fail.

  • WIN!! How ever, you won the game with unnecessarily many moves.

  • Great job!

BUT you did it with unnecessarily many moves!!

  • I got this on my ipod touch, very good. But it takes so long after around 8.

  • @TylerSuixide no it doesnt it only took me 57 seconds to do eight disks

  • I can do 7:35 on my iPhone version for 10 rings but I do benefit from being able to use 2 fingers.

  • not effective....I can make it 1023 moves....lol

  • @pluebrocooly lol, but "can" is such a tricky word in mathematics.

  • This game is so simple, but its a bunch of fun. 10 rings wound take forever, but if you know the pattern you can do any amount you want.

  • yes, that is correct.

  • not really... time is the limiting factor!

if you´re moving 1 ring in about 1 second, you´ll need about 18 minutes to solve the tower with 10 rings!

a tower with 20 rings will need 12 days...

30 rings will need 34 years...

    40 rings 348 years

    60 rings 36,6 Billion years :-)

  • holy shit i wanna try doing one with 30 rings

  • @miithewii1 30 rings can be solved in 1073741823 moves minimum, if you make no mistake. And yes, that's the real number

  • @sirandelot and 64 rings 585 billion years

  • Jep...that´s unbelieveable, isn´t it?!

It shows, that in some sitiuations you´ve to break the "rules" to get any further! ;-)

  • it's about uhmm.. 1023 moves the minimum

and it's easy to do with numbers

  • Big master! Only 11 "overmoves" .

  • hehe overmoves because i tried to do it quick enough so at 2X speed i could post under the 10 min limit that youtube imposes...

  • almost got 9 done
