I got into the hanoi again (used to try it all the time when I was little). this time I immediately saw the pattern and now when i close my eyes before I sleep I see a tower solving itself.
Once ya get the pattern the mental process is amazingly fluid
i created a facebook app for this tower of hanoi game. just search for "JavaScript Tower of Hanoi" on facebook. this is pure javascript and does not require flash, applet or images.
im already on 9disks :DDD ... ... ~

@bubonicbieber what, you don't believe me? lol

@bubonicbieber It's not totally mindless. It's a classic problem in computer science courses, specifically as an exercise in recursion.

*play again*uh fuck no.

Chuck Norris can do this in six moves.

How long would it take to move 12,345 disks if you made one move per second.
2016JonesAL 2 months ago
@2016JonesAL it would take billions of years to move 64, so you would be doing that beyond the timeline of our universe
INVnubZ 2 months ago
@bubonicbieber totally agreed. We are not computers...we are capable of much more complex thought.

11 disks would take minimum 2047...20 disks take 1048575 moves.

You beat Contra! However, you lost unnecessarily many lives. Fail.

WIN!! How ever, you won the game with unnecessarily many moves.
ThePopeSaid 1 year ago
Great job!
BUT you did it with unnecessarily many moves!!

I got this on my ipod touch, very good. But it takes so long after around 8.

I can do 7:35 on my iPhone version for 10 rings but I do benefit from being able to use 2 fingers.
Fa6ade 1 year ago
not effective....I can make it 1023 moves....lol

@pluebrocooly lol, but "can" is such a tricky word in mathematics.
ATL45 1 year ago
This game is so simple, but its a bunch of fun. 10 rings wound take forever, but if you know the pattern you can do any amount you want.
LAGGER1111 2 years ago 19
yes, that is correct.
gongchan03 2 years ago 2
not really... time is the limiting factor!
if you´re moving 1 ring in about 1 second, you´ll need about 18 minutes to solve the tower with 10 rings!
a tower with 20 rings will need 12 days...
30 rings will need 34 years...
40 rings 348 years
60 rings 36,6 Billion years :-)
sirandelot 2 years ago
holy shit i wanna try doing one with 30 rings
miithewii1 2 years ago
@miithewii1 30 rings can be solved in 1073741823 moves minimum, if you make no mistake. And yes, that's the real number
ParfaitEtrangerLive 1 year ago
@sirandelot and 64 rings 585 billion years
VikingsFan365 2 years ago
Jep...that´s unbelieveable, isn´t it?!
It shows, that in some sitiuations you´ve to break the "rules" to get any further! ;-)
sirandelot 2 years ago
it's about uhmm.. 1023 moves the minimum
and it's easy to do with numbers
lemoyan 2 years ago
Big master! Only 11 "overmoves" .
sasho54 2 years ago
hehe overmoves because i tried to do it quick enough so at 2X speed i could post under the 10 min limit that youtube imposes...

almost got 9 done
