hi julie, id like to see another video on fit and wash of jeans for different body types and a blurb on your favorite brands. i saw the one about levis but im thinking on a wider spectrum. i recently bought a pair of BKE jeans because i wanted to see the difference between a 50$ pair and a 100$ pair. i didnt intend to fall in love with them like i did and now i feel like i'm stuck with spending 100$ every time because these jeans fit me so well. i wanted your opinion on what to do.
im 14.. have a slim-ish torso and i feel like my thighs are huge... so i feel if i wear skinny jeans it makes them look even HUGE... i need help :/ any advice?

Yes that was very informative Julie. I love the way you went into the little detail about the light colour in the middle and dark on the outside legs. i actually find that if you have wider hips & thighs (like i do) and smaller calves (like i do) i find that skinny jeans are actually more flattering that flare jeans, straight, etc. because it follows the shape of your legs. and when you pair it with a looser top that hits right above your butt or mid-butt (past the waist band of your jeans), i find it doesn't draw as much attention to your thighs. thats just how it is for me. but i think julie has a great figure :)

Without a tight belt (in the belt loops not around ur waste, duh) or an undershirt tucked in, your butt-crack shows and people get a view of something they shouldn't be viewing :-D Just a thought! :-D
sooo, if you have a bigger hip area, do NOT wear these. Little on the bottom and big on top makes you look like an ice cream cone, so unless it's halloween and that's what you're going for, please try to go for the wider cuts at the bottom of the pants :-D
I'm okay with skinny jeans below my knee and on my waist... I'm only 4'11" and I'm small but I'm also a rider and a runner so my thighs are not huge but are very solid. My favorite jeans are flare. I don't like the way skinny or bootcut looks on me.
Sadly I'm stuck in dresses and skirts constantly because they don't have flare jeans in any store where I live now. They're all skinny jeans. And I do own several pairs, but I just don't like them at all for me anymore.

@xShiizam that is the same thing with me! I like flare, straight leg and boot leg. I just bought a pair of skinny jeans but they arent super skinny. I get sad when i go jean shopping and all I find are skinnys.

@KiwiMangoHusband Yeah. It sucks! haha. But I've found that you can typically find styles other than skinny at JC Pennys that are pretty nice! ^^ It just takes a bit of time sometimes.

Yes that was very informative Julie. I love the way you went into the little detail about the light colour in the middle and dark on the outside legs. The stressing in the front and the medium sized pockets. You forgot to mention about jeans having a seam down the front (middle) and back (middle). The definately make you SKINNIER!!! Kit

i actually find that if you have wider hips & thighs (like i do) and smaller calves (like i do) i find that skinny jeans are actually more flattering that flare jeans, straight, etc. because it follows the shape of your legs. and when you pair it with a looser top that hits right above your butt or mid-butt (past the waist band of your jeans), i find it doesn't draw as much attention to your thighs. thats just how it is for me. but i think julie has a great figure :)

your heels are super cute! and i totally agree with you_ skinny jeans look good with any body shape. i used to hate my body because i'm really hippy and my butt is really big but when i started wearing skinny jeans i got so many compliments from my friends telling me that they loved the way they look on me and well now that's the only thing i wear. they look super cute with converse too(:

i actually just got into skinny jeans. for a long time i couldnt find i pair i thought looked halfway decent on me. Im really picky about fit when it comes 2 jeans so 4 a while i stuck 2 the boyfriend cut from AE. bit of a switch, i know lol. as far as my fav brand goes, i have to say American Eagle. thats where i bought the only two pairs of skinny jeans i have & i luv them. i wear them w/boots during the winter but ill prolly pair them with some cute heels, come spring time.

Going along with what she says about staying away from low-rise, people, PLEASE do not bend over in them! Without a tight belt (in the belt loops not around ur waste, duh) or an undershirt tucked in, your butt-crack shows and people get a view of something they shouldn't be viewing :-D Just a thought! :-D

sooo, if you have a bigger hip area, do NOT wear these. Little on the bottom and big on top makes you look like an ice cream cone, so unless it's halloween and that's what you're going for, please try to go for the wider cuts at the bottom of the pants :-D

I'm okay with skinny jeans below my knee and on my waist... I'm only 4'11" and I'm small but I'm also a rider and a runner so my thighs are not huge but are very solid. I always hate wearing them... however I do own a pair of "skinny boot cut" jeans and I love them! even tho they are slim thru the upper leg... what do you think??
