Also enjoyed your version of "McIlroy The Emerald Cowboy"...I agree with(674367436743), a campfire song for sure or as I see in your video "perhaps a kitchen table song"! I have watched many of your video/songs this evening, thanks to 67436 etc......he sent me a link to your music and am enjoying listening in.......Thankz blinkdrunkal,...from Godfrey, Ontario, Canada...

  • Alan --- Very nice performance ! I collect mining songs and would like to include your version of "North Country Blues" in my collection. What is your last name so I can give you proper credit? Best wishes, Tony from Kentucky

P.S. Have you performed any other coal mining songs?

  • al-

you got the spirit of this song down just fine.

and.....you dylan devotee, the guitar and timing is a perfect copy.

other than that, i have no opinion.

  • Fantastic, have been watching a few of your videos this morning....they are all very enjoyable.

I am very interested to know more about the guitar you use in coming round the mountain?

  • That old guitar is a Baliol Apollo - English made - I bought it in Manchester in 1966, for £5.00 (a week's wages then!) It''s been smashed, fixed, drilled with holes, painted, and has a really high action, so it's ok for slide but not much else! Got character though! all the best :o) Alan
