Ha, Kaki King is an ovation shill. Personally, you couldn't give me another Ovation or a more expensive, but equally plastic, Adamas. Wood, glue, bone and steel. That's the stuff of a real acoustic guitar.

hi Kaki....... ive got an old ovation Balladeer which has been a faithful workhorse for nearly twenty years for me. I made the fateful mistake of picking up an Adamas Guitar while in a music shop and..... you I have been obsessed with the idea of having one... and one day I willl.. when I can afford one...PS love that percussive style u have!!

can you use electric strings on an ovation electric acoustic? im thinking of getting one soon, i don't really no anything about acoustic guitar, or acoustic electrics

An acoustic guitar has got 6 steel strings, 3 large and 3 thin, an acoustic guitar has got 6 steel strings too, but 4 larges and 2 thin so you can't but you can test :D

You can surely do that on an electro-acoustic guitar (I mean a hollow body). But I'm not sure if this will work properly on an acoustic one. It's possible that you won't have reliable intonation. I just bought a set of flatwound strings for my Fender Strat and it lies somewhere in between. The strings are soft+smooth and I get a warm jazzy sound that reminds me of acoustic guitars only that it's a set for electric guitar! And I'm going to try one on my hollow body guitar too. Give it a shot! ;)

The only strings that sound good on an ovation guitar are the ovation phosphor bronze strings. It is what the guitar is designed to play. Been there for 45 years now.

Nope.

She uses Elixir Polyweb lights, so they made them look a bit white.
