I keep going into 3 and asking them about it but they have no idea when it will be available. Where did you read we'll be getting it next month? That might be the date for the rest of the world but we always get things a few months later at the latest (like the Nokia N95 & N96).

Still, I'm long overdue for a handset upgrade. I've been holding out for this since last year! :(

Well i'm going to buy my phone at allphones. I called them yesterday and the lady said that it's either releasing sometime at the end of the month or next month. I'm still saving up for it. Hopefully its it costes around $800. I only have $455. LOL.

His facts were right. The first touch screen mobile from Nokia was the "5800 XpressMusic", released in Q4 2008.

former nokia 770,n800,n810 are definitely nokia devices, in fact tablets. also include that touchscreen gps devices nokia 330, and nokia 500.

and if you say "mobile" go check these MOBILES, nokia 7710, nokia 6708 and the "very FIRST unnreleased" touchscreen phone, the nokia 7700.

google it.

Well the only other Nokia touchscreen device or phone that was released in Australia (where I live) was the 5800 XpressMusic. We don't get half the mobiles (so it seems) that the rest of the world gets, and I only keep up to date with mobiles released in my country. No point in knowing about all these phones if they're never going to be available to me (or work on our mobile networks)..

Don't like the LED flash. My N82 seems better, except for a standard LCD screen. N82 beats N95, N96 in lens, flash & color quality. N97 probably has the same poor photo quality as the N96, N95.

The hype about the processor is almost the one about the megapixel. There isn't a lot of difference betweend 6 and 8 mp. It's all about how good the lens is and the flash that comes with it. MP is just the size and how many pixels it has

The OS of the N97 is compatible with a slower processor. It's not the same as other phones. It's still a fast phone. And I trust Nokia when they say this is their flagship device. Why invest so much in the software and not in the phone? They figured it all out.

Thanks a lot. I liked it too. Can't wait to have my own Nokia N97. NBut to be honoust I think the white one looks more sexy. But I've heard they will release the black one first and then later on the white one. Don't know for sure if that's true.
