@quilmesredlager that is so true man its not the speed but the technique its good if you can feel it That is why Jason beacker is the best Neoclassical Electric Guitarist ever
ok guys. music theory and ear training is almost essential when doing stuff by ear. it wil make things go by literally more than three times as fast because you reduce your guess work down to like 30 percent.
other than that, it would take me a year to learn this even on my precious experience of 3 years on guitar =(
HAHA don't feel bad dude, i pick things up by ear pretty easily, AND have 9 years of intensive study under my belt and STILL can't get this shit even close. becker was given an EXTREME talent by god, and very few people have it, everybody else(like us) has to bust their ass. but keep at it and one day you'll have it down i'm sure :-)
it was actually what happens when people get jeolous.. easy to swim ski among keys in neo classic subscales with no hammer actioned and no weighted keys? do this on a piano or keyboard with weighted keyboard and stop adding jeolous comments on peoples videos
awesome ! it's not very hard to play on the keyboard but it's definitely hard to convert it from guitar to keyboard and you still kept the spirit of the song alive.
This is definitely awesome talent, but the Serrana arps are easier played the keyboard, rather than the guitar. All 1-3-5. The first hint would be that this is at a faster tempo than Becker played it, haha. Good job man!
hey man nice playing. can u tell me where did u get the notes please???? i'd realy love to see my friend (he's a pianist) playing it along with me on the guitar. thanks very much! i'll keep checking back for ur answer.
dude that sounds like guitar pro, ive seen serrana played on keyboard and the guy was goin all over the place your not really movin around all that much nice try. your keyboard light is off as well.
i play piano, and i can tell you his hand movements are legit.
however, there is no way he just turned this on and started playing this. when you are playing piano this fast you have to know ahead of time exactly how far you are going to move your hand and fingers.
Jamesord, it's the tone that fucked it up, I know it sounds like i'm blaming the tone here but it's because my keyboard isn't really that good. I have found a new tone though and it sounds more flowing when I play.
And guitargod, just because you have two hands to play notes doesn't always mean it's easier. I mean when doing scales on a guitar, it's alot easier than doing scales on a keyboard.
I do play it on a normal piano in college, and people are usually impressed lol. I understand the whole thing I usually do play it on a piano sound nowadays. PLus I got a better tone than this one I don't know what possesed me into recording a vid with that tone lol.
hm you did great, but looks like your missing some notes, i can play it on the keys also, so im not just some random dude putting you down, just thought thats what it looked like, but other than that its great and yea from personal experience, if you play it on a real piano, it sounds amazing, and people will respect that shit alllot more.
It is alot easier to play on keyboard, but that's me lol. Arpeggio's are generally alot easier on keyboard than they are on guitar, shredding is harder on a keyboard in my opinion.
haha, i unno man id say, after playing both instruments, they take pretty much equal talent for arpeggios, though i would say that piano is a bit earier to learn. you should post a video on the uses of arpeggios and stuff, you seem to be extremely good with them.
Let me assure you, piano is easier in every way, unless your playing advanced counterpoint wich guitar is not so suited for. Shredding on guitar takes years of dicipline, practising both picking and fingering note articulation bends etc.. piano just push.
hey chill u twat. u try playin it on guitar, hitting all the notes that guys hitting, but with one hand. thats harder!!!! and this guy lets notes ring into each other and this being the arpeggios in Serrana, they notes shudnt ring.
Woah guys calm it lol. I'm not letting notes ring Guitargod because it's a lead sound... most leads tend to only be able to handle 1 note at once, hence why I couldn't have let them ring, it's just because the tone is used isn't very good.
multitasking with your two separate hands is much harder.
some hard guitar soloes are extremely easy on piano (like fade to black) and some easy guitar parts are actually rather challenging on piano. This, however, would probably be much easier on piano that guitar.
I'm going to make a new video with a new sound, and hopefully a new arrangement I made using just the sound of a Grand. Or if not that, then some random solo I guess.
That would be so cool if you re-recorded it with a cleaner patch, something like the Jordan rudess LTE lead or Jens Johansson lead would sound awesome! Jason Becker is King!
I must say you guys have a point, my lead tone sucks. I will record it then with some other sound which I think is good. Thanks for your advice dudes!
hmm I dunno that tone is so bad its really hard to judge the playing or how it would sound without, I suggest re-recording with a smoother or at least more pronounced lead tone
