Until recently I wasn't able to do 0:53, not because I couldn't bend it, I was always afraid that my B string would snap. I recently realized that I've never broken a B string, the only strings I break are high E and Gs.

Okay ... I have learned the solo ... And it has been a month already but there is still a problem ... the intro lick 0.32 - Every time I play it I feel insecure. i don't play guitar, and have limited musical background, but every note to this solo is etched in my brain...and you, mr duey nailed it! wonderful. you know i now have even more appreciation to the genius of waters and gilmour. floyd does have some of THE best guitar solos for sure. and this one is tremendous from a technical standpoint, not just musically. after seeing the solo up close, i'm totally amazed that gilmour could even conjure up something like that. new appreciation for sure!

u might wanna review ur bending technique..ive been using 0.012 for abt 2 yrs now..try aligning ur finger tip with ur nuckle..like keep it stiff n push it up with ur palm, as if u hv a stick placed vertical on it...

p.s: 0.011 on electric = 0.09 on acoustic, for a fact

thats the beauty of gilmours playing, it seams simple. but then you learn it and you realize how the subtleties than you have to add in make it extremely difficult to play. hands down, gilmour is the most expressive player. no one conveys emotion through a guitar like he does.
