  • goosebump warning

  • Omg all theyre voices were so high then lol

  • 1:01 - 1:09 when he says shrinking, does he mean psychiatrist shrinking or shrinking metaphorically?

  • before i seen this movie i already made a intense ballin workout of 2 hours, after i seen this i went again and i made the same workout again...it really got me motivated i do this workout now twice everyday, THANKS COACH CARTER!

  • Wow! This is so touching and so perfectly said by that young actor.

  • whats the song that is being played in the begining

  • richwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa richmond

  • who the fuck would dislike this

  • My favorite movie. but is it just me or does the son look like Bruno Mars

  • @kriztufer2001 stfu thats not a shitty speech it's an old literary paragraph that he recited to prove to his coach that even he (the hopeless drugdealing gangbanger) can still make something of himself, that we are all capable human beings gifted by god uniquely to shine in our own ways, inspiring others to do the same. We can each liberate each other from our own inner fears and hesitations. That's what his "shitty little speech" was about but have your own opinion.

  • @68blitzen Reciting the words of another person doesn't prove anything and doesn't change anything. That's my point. You can't just go find something that somebody else wrote and then regurgitate it and pretend that you have learned something. That is intellectual dishonesty. If you want to prove something you have to take action, not just sit there and give a shitty little speech about some vague idealistic view of human potential

  • @kriztufer2001 But who said we were learning something? why cant we just watch this and listen to a good few quotes? I mean take action for what? would you like us to go out and show the world that we can fly and shoot lazers out of our ass, then everyone can pull out thier weiner for shits and giggles but idk, just askin you know

  • @kriztufer2001 befor batle ancient roman centurions "give a shitty little speech" when things are hard when life is putting you trough a test a litle adrenaline rush give you the edge

  • @kriztufer2001 befor batle ancient roman centurions "give a shitty little speech" when things are hard when life is putting you trough a test a litle adrenaline rush give you the edge

  • @kriztufer2001 so why are you here listening to this speech? you obviously need inspiring lol

  • they should this to all the schools

  • can you guys help me i really want to understand what it meant but to me it sounded strange y

someone msg me or pm me i really want to understand tha tspeach

  • they should show this in schools

  • @1985322 I first seen this movie in 8th grade on the basketball team, it was just as powerful then as it is now. (which is very powerful) My point is some schools still try to send out this message and try to open ppls eyes.

  • this might just be one of the best ispirational quotes ever

  • @RFOMLethal

He doesn't get the speech yo..

  • THIS IS THE GAYEST FUCKING SPEECH IN MOVIE HISTORY

  • @kriztufer2001

Big U-.. This bunk shti you saying right now is stinking up like a fucking skunk..

  • @MusicHollic7 learn how to speak like an intelligent human being instead of a nigger, and maybe I'll listen to you.

  • @kriztufer2001

sorry for spamming but just have to get this out man.. A nigga watches a poetically inspirational speech while a white boy like you dig on how to tie your shoe fast

  • @MusicHollic7 a nigga watches another nigga quote a small part of another man's writing, and thinks that he has made some sort of improvement to his intelligence because he has listened to a <1min speech that doesn't really change anything about him. a white guy, on the other hand, watches something that is practical and makes him do things more efficiently, so I have more time to actually read books instead of just watching other people quote a tiny portion of them.

    also it's not poetry, tard

  • @kriztufer2001

That can be controversial the poetry part. imagery is used, simile are included, metaphors too. Doesn't that make it into to poetry section intellectual white boy? Yeah I'll stick to the speech because I already know how to tie a shoe, unlike you who's probably 30 year old and still can't bunny loop a string. Go read the source of this speech, the book gave millions inspiration. No of course it hasn't given me intellegence, but led me to reading something that kept me chasing my

  • @kriztufer2001

dream. I'm halfway there thanks to Marianne Williamson, not a nigga but a Caucasian, I owe her perhaps my life. Who said I didn't like reading book? You think all niggas are dumb and hopeless? Ignorant and racist. Yeah you go and watch stuff like how to cook an egg fast, very efficient, while I'll be somewhere I wanted to be for 10 years. I got respect for every race, my goons are Indians, whites, asians, blacks, but only respect I don't have is for people like you, w.e you are

  • @kriztufer2001

and sorry you were arguing with my 11 year old brother, yeah he a runt but gave you some hard time..

  • @kriztufer2001 That tiny quote probably means more than all the kindergarden books you've read combined.

  • @gunner76111 yeah it probably means more than the books I've read in kindergarten, but it doesn't mean more than books like Heart of Darkness.

This is the problem with people like you. You watch some lame ass movie about a basketball team, or read a fucking quote on the internet, and you actually feel intellectually satisfied.

Anybody who thinks they've learned something from a quote is mentally lazy

  • @kriztufer2001 some one wasn't given any inspiring speeches when they were a kid...

  • @kriztufer2001 AH right because we all have to learn from big ass colleges or some 10 ton book, obivously the problem with people like you is that quotes like this are just the same thing as a poem to others but obviously that kinda stuff doesnt matter to you so.. wait.. why are you watching this?

  • @MusicHollic7 My second grader said that if you "need" to use that language you "need" to build your vocabulary.

  • if youv seen this before, when the camera cuts to everyone sitting in at the start oyur eyes automatically draw towards cruiz...what a scene...what a film

  • The guy on the far right is wearing a kings jersey. Woot!

  • wow punk ass bitch crying to some pussie ass shit

  • @flamerider00 lets not try hard our true feelings here mate :)

Just let out...let it all out mate tell us what you really feels :)

  • is this really recorded at st anthonys in long beach?

  • This is like the greatest thing ever written!!!

  • I got the Cruz "verse" tattooed in all my back ; )

  • @14TA2 haha fuck u i wanted to do that too^^ nice tat man

  • @14TA2 me to!!!!!!

  • ya so leave us be coach, we got shit to do lmao i love this movie

  • wow you guys are little bitches its good but why cry

  • this part of the movie is verry touching :)

  • @MajidNeutron Actions are even more precious. Without action, it is pointless. The world is full of pointlessness.

  • This isn't the correct quote, they took God out of it. This is a fake, without god, man is but a flickering torch, unaware of it's purpose. How dare this movie insult the quote...

  • @DoomExtreme1 This movie isnt about god. Its about how people can rely on a leader and one another to succeed. God plays no part in this movie.

  • @DoomExtreme1

Oh and without god; Man is man. If god were to die or dissapear I would still be me and you would still be you and we would keep living our lives without blinking. God does not give us purpose. We are unaware of our purpose and so we strive to reach our potential not knowing what it is. That is the beauty of life. We do not know what we are and what we are here to do. We can do what we want with our lives and that is what makes life interesting and worth living.

  • not to dis this its a great clip but they are actually the oilers sorry to be picky

  • Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson

it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,

    talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

  • Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others. —Marianne Williamson
  • whats the song called right at the begiining of this ??

  • at 1:41 you can see how proud he is that he has cnaged these young boys into men

  • Thats a proud face yea

  • "our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure" That fear is around us all.. that is called the "pain body" my friends.. enable yourself to be great and you will be!

  • Well i dno if its a quote from the bible but i know in the bible it says, "let your light shine" in several places.

  • whats the song called at the start??

  • "I just wanna say Thank You, Sir. You saved my life" - that words make my eyes full of treat ;)

  • This quote inspires me not only to think a different way but to enlighten the view of other peoples lives , its not just how u live your life that makes you who you are , it is that you actually try in life instead of hiding behind a veil of confusion and unknowing , Im not trying to be all wise but its words that are spoke from the mouth but messages that are given from the heart. Thank you :)

  • This not a bible quote! It was written by a woman named Marianne Williamson. check out her book A Return to Love

  • @livestrong627 Her quote was religion sir, re-read it.

  • this part always sends shivers down my spine. Coach Carter is my favorite movie ever!!

  • @pastrami757 its not my favourite movie ever but its definetly something that ignorant people will still not undersand

sometimes i wonder if when we humans are ignorant if anything can open our eyes ..sometimes i truly wonder ...

  • the song is called "why i love you"

  • no you are wrong

  • TECHNICS YOU ARE A DUMB FUCK!

  • stop calling people "idiots." the term belittles you before harming someone else.

technics2009, why are you so afraid of yourself kind self? let your leadership shine beyond your greatness dreams.

  • great movie, and the thing about our deepest fear is a really great segment, but is that original or did it come from elsewhere?

  • it's taken from another source but theres parts of the original that are missed out in this bit. great moment though

  • iT caMe 4rM GhaNdi i bEliEve

  • It came from Marianne Williamson and it's called a return to love. He left out the part of the poem which asks us a question about why we question ourselves, it also says right after that that we are a child of God(saying that we have the right to be as great as we want to be). And it was written in 1992 so you were off by about 45 years.

  • think hour getting gandi and mandela mixed up. he used this in his first speech as president... as said above it leaves out a section mentioning god, as he did not want it to be devisive

  • when he sayd what hes fear is!!

  • i love this film!!

do anybody know the backgroundsound they played??

  • This is so true this speach given is really deep it makes you think dont it

  • The songs called Why I love you by Shells

  • Yo Can Someone Tell Me The Name Of That Song At The Begining.

  • Can someone tell me what this means? its to deep for me to understand correctly

  • i think what it means is that everyone has the power to shine meaning everyone has the power to succeed. It is our fear because it is easier to not try thus not to succeed. When we try and work we can accomplish our goals...we provide inspiration for others.

  • im getin this speach writin across my chest or my arm. cos its so true

  • what is the name of the song in the beginning of this clip?

  • Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world.

  • There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
