The only way you might be able to prevent an incident like this from happening in the future, is if you provide courtrooms with the kind of security you have at airports with metal detectors and body scanners.

It's not practical , certainly not for civil courts that need to deal with thousands of these kind of cases each day.

Coverage on this Egyptian case was very minimal in Germany. Initially they showed the news as a normal murder case (where a guy killed women over some dispute) although it was not the case. She was killed/insulted based on her religion; that is why they dispute. In short German media did not portray correct picture. German media only started to pick up real news after there was a lot of hue and cry over this incident. Moreover she was stabbed 18 times in a court and police shot at her husband
