Sharks WON'T harm you at all if you're not sick, bleeding or injured. Great White Shark is no exception. They might bump into you for exploratory reasons, but not attack you unless if they're starving. In fact, you shouldn't fear sharks at all. I'd rather fear piranhas or barracudas, Heck, I can fear jellyfish, but not sharks! A shark will attack if feeling endangered or if you're stepping into their turf.

lima beans is a bad example. sharks dont "eat" humans in the sense of food at all. our flesh isnt enjoyable and nutritious enough, and we are almost impossible to eat properly because of the many bones. sure, sharks also have bottles, tires, etc in their stomach because they bite stuff like that and realize its bullshit. we die from a bite anyways, but i just want to say that sharks dont consider us as food at all, not even when they have nothing else. were not "bad" food, were not food at all.

Sure, sharks may not like to eat humans. Either because they view us as gods like the indians or we simply taste crap.

Either way, even a small nibble from a shark that size can quite easily kill if you are far out in the water. Either by wounding(unable to swim back), bleeding, or simply senseless panic.

So in short, ladies and gents, don't be afraid of sharks, but don't swim in their habbitats either.

They're like nice people, but also very stupid at the same time.

My favorite is when some shark nerd comes on TV and defends these nightmares with fins by saying contradictory thinks like: "Oh they are more afraid of you then you think." or this gem: "They bite because they are curious." Thanks. So, when a shark is swimming away with my lower torso, I won't feel bad because I'll know he was just curious.

I really don't think 'evil' is the right word, at all. A shark has done no more wrong than a cute dolphin has, and is no more or less innocent. Everything just does what it does - morality means nothing in the natural world.
