  • I bought chord chemistry after seeing teds videos. Ted is my hero and hope to be as knowledgable as him some day!

  • ted is the real master and genius of the jazz guitar . gracias por los videos .

  • Also to include several performance playlists of Ted and many jazz guitarists.

  • I am in the process of creating my channel to include lessons from many of the great jazz guitarists and educators includingvTed and many others. No motive other then a Passion for jazz and jazz guitar in particular, and getting as many subscribers as possible. Subscribe if you like thanks.

  • What a kind person he was - wish I had a teacher like him.

Thank you very much for these lessons!

  • WHO disliked this??!! I do not understand AT ALL!!!

  • GENIUS.

  • I think I am as impressed by Ted's ability to *teach* as I am his ability to *play*.

  • ted used to come into our guitar store in Sheman Oaks and sit crossed leg on the floor and play our old Teles and just amaze us with his playing and how he explained it to us..a true genius and a truly genuine human being..nicest guy you could ever meet..he will be missed..

  • Ted talks about changing I vi ii V (Fmaj7 Dm7 Gm C7) making the ii dominant G7. you can make each chord dom7 F7 D7 G7 C7 then tritone sub the D7 to Ab7 and G to Gb so you have F7 Ab7 G7 Gb7 for chromatic motion.

    The final melody line I have A A F C and bass line G F# G D G chords are Gm9 Gm9 D7#9 C7sus/G

  • Bless you for posting these. Ted was a dear friend and colleague. He is missed. Ted, I often look up when I play something that reminds me of your genius.

  • This is wonderful. ! : )

  • Awesome insightful stuff here man.

  • thank you so much....these lessons are a godsend.

  • Thanks for posting this guys!

  • It's always a great pleasure to listen to good old Ted.Thanks a lot for the post!

  • Dan,Thank you for making this lesson material available for everyone. This offers wonderful insight into Ted's diversity as a teacher. Equally accomplished in the blues as he is in the baroque.

  • Without you Barbara this would probably not be a reality for others to benefit from and your care and guidance pertaining to the archives and keeping Ted's legacy alive is unparalleled and worthy of much praise.

  • @TedGreeneArchives You're a real champ for posting this stuff, Thanks!!

I had Ted's chord chemistry book back in the mid' 70's. It's still way over my head.

  • We proudly bring you a multi-segment series of Ted teaching the blues!

This is part 1 of many "more to follow".
