  • It was a different time. A time of Destiny. A time of Warriors and scoundrels, It was...the 80's.

  • Remember watching this as a little girl, never watched the hole thing because it was to scary. o:

  • Thumbs up if Willow brought you here and not some dumb fucking tv show.

  • @ImOn2TheNext1

    you read my mind.

  • Wow.. Is it really that old?

  • Four note battle cry!!! :D

  • i saw this when i was a kid

  • I think this film sh**ts on Lord of the Mings. Burglecut gettin crapped on his head , Volcar the greatest warrior in village, Meeegosh > Val Kilmer s best role since Ice Man. (or heat) This is definitelt to all others to quote ERIC " OUT OF THE WAY, PECK"

  • Im here because of whip my hair

  • Man, this takes me back

  • wwwwiiilllooowww yyoouu iidioot !

  • nostalgia

  • anyone else notice that's the same voice of the evil gnomes from Fable 3?

  • man, this was actually pretty good!.Well, it was when i was 12. Obviously fairly cheesy now, especially after 'Life's Too Short'... but this is a great fantasy movie worth checking out.

But now, you can't appreciate the film and just want to laugh at Warwick..(sigh).

    BTW, this trailer is pathetic.

  • I'm so sad at everyone saying no one knows this film. I feel old for remembering when it was hot and new. XD

  • @pollutedmizuno I remember it. I remember watching it at the cinema with my mum! I still think it shits all over the Lord of the Rings films.

  • WILLOWWWWWW

  • not the best film but didnt regret watching it

  • The solider at 0:56 sounds like he's cursing in finnish: "PERKELEEE!!"

  • And possibly the last great Lucas movie. I think so.

  • Amazing movie, great arcade game.

  • I'm a famous Hollywood actor, ever heard of a film called Willow? No I haven't.

  • This film is the shit and Life's Too Short is shit!

  • "Willow cost $40 million, and it's made most of that back since."

(was a fan of Willow before Life's Too Short!)

  • i love it cause no-one has actually ever heard of this film <3

  • midget porn rocks

  • yep, i got here from watching lifes to short lol

  • @TehGamerking shit on your own face

  • @pigeonpsycho make me

  • thumbs up if you got here after watching Too Short

  • Wooo! Warick!

  • Im making it my mission to buy every fantasy film i can possibly find that i watched as a child :)

  • @ahhhhwhoreallycares Dude! Me too.

  • Willow is basically a fantasy take on some of the ideas George Lucas had when he was creating the story of Star Wars. One possible version of Luke was a Dwarf, and another was a young woman instead of a young guy.

  • Thumbs up if your here because of Warwick Davis after watching him on Life's too short

  • I saw this movie 300 times. EPIC

  • thumbs up for the little ginger kid.

  • Awesome film!

  • Hard to believe Warwick was what, 17-18 when he did this :P

  • It's astonishing how I can have the most distant memory of something like this from my childhood and still find it

  • @dominicfields15 I've been thinking about this film for the last year and not having a clue about it's name. Now I've found it!!

  • @RichyDYupYup such a satisfying feeling of nostalgia isn't it

  • Game of thrones plus lord of the rings divided by harry potter equals willow

  • no ships or raiders?

  • man this film takes me back to the early 90s

  • ok so i want to see this movie but haven't yet, BUUUUUUUT

that dwarf guy sounds SOOO much like TRUMPKIN from the BBC's version of Narnia.

  • @freebrainstorms

If you get around to watching it, read the sequel-novel-trilogy where Willow becomes harder than the cast of Deadwood.

  • when I was in grade five they randomly took the entire school and brought us into the gym, sat us on the floor and put this on a giant projector. we watched the entire movie. to this day i am still confused as to why we stop classes to randomly watch a movie but i'm glad we did. nobody talked for most of the movie, we were so engrossed by it.

  • Head like a fucking orange.

  • I remember this movie when I was a little kid, still one of my favorite movies ever I was like 4 when this came out and I'm 27 now, just lastnight watched the special edition of Willow, brings back a lot of memories. Great movie

  • Tyrion Lannister is cooler

  • @edd77

There was a trilogy sequel to that movie that came out in the 90's.

Willow gets hard-as-fuck and in the first hundred pages murders a teenage boy with his bare hands.

Tyrion has his wits, Willow changes his name to Thorn Drumheller and does some face-smashing and mad-magic. The actor who player Willow has been on Lucas for years to make that trilogy, and I can't blame him, it would be easily worked into movies.

  • Thumbs up if your D&D character was called Mad Morrigan!

  • kick ass movie!

  • Skelator was in this movie.

  • is this a comedy?

  • amazing film

  • This video has been added to your Favorites.

  • Sucks that they never made a follow up to this. :-/ I used to play the shit out of the arcade game, and it took me forever to get past the wagon part in stage 2.

  • This was when fantasies were rare and CGI was non-existent.

  • Is this the willow that handsome tom was supposed to be in Suburban Knights?

  • @Little1Cave Probably

  • @Little1Cave I do believe so, and now I know what the joke was.

  • Im interested in the movie... But this trailer makes it look like a movie you would watch in the 2nd Grade inside the library after reading rainbow

  • @subslament it's actually one of the best action/adventure films of all time... kids that just watched reading rainbow would have nightmares after seeing this :)

  • 20 are angry Pecks

  • is that who willow smith is named after?

  • @SmellySweatHose Likely. And ... Willow Palin.

  • This scares the shit out of me

  • 20 ppl dislike midgets

  • very very goood i love is picture

  • Who found this through Starkville's House of El? Be honest!

  • @MJPETTY7 You ARE great! ;)

  • Of course the director of STAR WARS. :|

  • This looks like the retarded offspring of Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings. So stoked on never having seen this!

  • its from 1901 or what?

  • Thumbs up if you miss hearing that falling down sound from films and cartoons ! 0:54

  • This was one of the greats ,I feel sorry for kids growing up now who don't know this stuff and get the game dungeons and dragons if you haven't already

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • Willow? or Wicket?! It's Wicket!!!

  • Happy Birthday Willow!!

  • Such a great movie.

  • hahaah its the choir teacher from harry potter

  • FROM THE CREATOR OF STAR WARS EPISODES 1 2 AND 3 COMES AN EPIC DRAMA SO CONTRIVED, SO IMPROBABLE, THAT NO ONE WILL EVEN REMEMBER THIS MOVIE IN 20 YEARS

  • I use to be so effing scared of this movie when I was little. I don't remember it well, only that I wanted to piss myself. Now I see this and I go ...wtf was I so scared about...I've seen 10x worse xD

  • ha im watching this in my english class tomorrow! well we watched the start of it today, but still good movie!

  • Im gonna have nightmares with that fucking dwarf

  • Thats the third willow related death this year

  • shits on lord of the rings.

  • @tommmmmer shits on ur mom faggot

  • @tommmmmer you don't have to choose.

  • @tommmmmer hahhaha

  • this brings so many good memories to me :)

  • The costume design in this movie deserves real praise. A evil knight with a skull mask and a serrated sword! That is beyond badass.

  • So over all, it was a time.

  • Madmartigan, Willow, Sorsha, Elora Danan, Raziel, Cherlindrea. Man im gonna cry

  • love these films and take great pleasure in introducing my little sister to them , they dont make them like this anymore its mostly candyfloss for the brain now

  • childhood memories,,,, thumbs up if u ever saw a film called krull aswel

  • i remember watching this ages ago

  • Haha, Don LaFontaine trailers, how I miss them. In a world where......

  • I seem to remember watching this...

  • rat dogs ftw

  • whan i was 7 i thing i watch the movie 15 times :P

  • @darklordkai1 i watched it 30 times;D

  • The movie was filmed in 1987. I went for an interview in Queenstown for a movie extra role in July and I still have the pay receipts, the advert for extras and photos, plus props I borrowed permanently! I had a full leather uniform with double bladed axe. A great experience and the pay was $100.00 a day! I haven't seen it in years even thou I have a wide screen version on VHS. There were toys, I've got the photo puzzles, official magazine and that sort of stuff. Yes some of us remember the 80's!

  • is that frodo?

  • The trailers back then are longer than most movies today

  • @danzberg

    lol

I must admit i DO hate all the teasers now. But these days, if the trailer goes over a minute, it gives everything away. sigh

  • Ahh I just found the vhs of this movie I had when i was a kid brings back too many good memories

  • epic fantasy movie

  • Lord of the Rings copied many ideas from Willow, so the real credit goes to Willow.

  • @videotitan1

Lord of the rigs was written about 40 YEARS before willow ehehehuehu duh

  • @gcysne: I refer to the visual effects, and cinematography scenes. We all know LOTR story is much older than willow.

  • Man, childhood memories flooding back!

  • i may love stop motion but i also love cgi

  • good old times when i was a child

  • what a fucking FUN movie

  • Willow 2, i can FFEEEL IT COMIN ONNN

  • I can't believe that dude at 1:18 let that evil c*nt bitchslap him like that! No wonder she had such a powertrip!!!

  • out of the way peck!

  • this movie is a classic!! =P

  • This was as disgusting as Howard the Duck.

Face it people - George Lucas is one of the most overrated directors and never made something good except the first 3 Star Wars episodes and for 2 of them he only gave the money.

  • @llothar68 hahaha howard the duck.. i alwys get this empty feeling inside of me like if something died, that movie really makes me sick.

Just like this movie does right now when i watch the trailer.

  • @llothar68 Dude this movie is like lord of the rings except with a baby, and there not

killing her, and it's one movie, and it's not 5 hours long ect.

  • Smashing film.

  • Ohh.. miss you so much Don Lafontaine, the GOD VOICE of trailers. This movie was great when I was a child. I should reent it again.

  • @Tigerman1138 lol. agreed.

  • movie not a blockbuster but is quite awesome Everyone should see it at least once..."HooRay for Beer"

  • It was the time... heh. How often this voice said that. Or In the time of.

  • it really doesnt get much better than this for fantasy films.

  • This is the sort of film i watched when i was young, this and the never ending story, labrynth, legend, return to Oz, dragonslayer, and the land before time etc. With the exeption of the land before time all the others used actors and animatronic puppets to create their creatures, now its CGI CGI CGI!!. Its a real shame.

  • @merovingianking1 And CGI is suppose to be a bad thing? If it weren't for CGI, things like photorealistic dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, or the King Kong in Peter Jackson's remake, or any of the creatures in his Lord of the Rings films, or the bullet time in The Matrix, and much more couldn't have existed.

Don't hate on CGI just cause some filmmakers abuse it.

  • @crazymustan Jurrasic Park was so well done. It is hard to tell it is even CG!...but today you can spot it right away. In 1993 they were better at CG then they are now haha. In 1993 they were better at everything to be honest...everything is all cheap and corny nowadays.

  • @merovingianking1 Did you ever see the movie Krull? That's another one that was pretty good back then!

  • @merovingianking1 exactly! now we dont even need a midget for a midget character

  • @merovingianking1 THANK YOU!!! I completely agree and am so glad other people agree too. i friggin loved animatronic puppets

  • @spooner1957 That's not a puppet, it's a midget.

  • @merovingianking1

Honestly, today's CGI is good. As long as the storylines are good, then why not add fantastic graphics and realistic creatures to a film? When I see old movies with terrible CGI, it makes me cringe. Yes, it looks terrible.

But CGI is only going to improve with technology. Look at Avatar - would you rather watch stupid people running around in alien suits, or perfectly realistic 3D alien-like creatures?

Computerisation is the future. Get used to it. xD

  • @LazarazFanfiction,

How does the phrase go: "necessity is the mother of invention". That is the one measure by which old school fx will always have an edge over cgi. Because of their inherent limitations they required more ingenuity, sometimes resulting in designs that were beyond simple imagination.

  • EL GRAN PLAGIO DE GEORGE LUCAS A JRR TOLKIEN... LA TRAMA ES CALCADA A LORD OF THE RINGS!!! ;(

  • I have the video game for this... box book, filler slips, everything... in near mint condition

  • I played the video game at the arcade too. I never beat it but it was sooo much effing fun!!!!

  • Such a cute baby

  • Warwick davis pwns in this! bahahahaha

  • The standard to which I hold Val Kilmer...and he normally falls way short, but that's not the point.

  • yo who played the video game tho? i used to go hard in the arcade with it, is this movie not that big? everytime i bring it up, everyone looks @ me crazy, i feel like the only 1 who saw this damn thing

  • @liflyguy my brother beat this game at Shakey's. I swear he spent some serious coin! I remember the two headed monster battle best :) though I'd probably laugh at the old skool graphics if I saw it now.

  • @liflyguy I had Willow for NES. :-)

  • @liflyguy

it's big but it's too old for most people born after the 90's knowing about it. They showed it in the tv more frequently than they do today.. I saw it as a kid and loved/loves it. And come on, it's an old school story of George Lucas, it's great

  • @liflyguy Lol I know, My friends are some of the biggest Lucas fans and they never heard of this movie, they though I was talking about Willow from Buffy, lol.

  • @liflyguy no this movie is the shiiit

  • @liflyguy Haha, the shock you are experiencing is the fact that nobody remembers the 80s or 90s really. Except me. I still live there actually. Fuck All New age things. movies, music, its all shit now, give me willow, ace ventura, demolition man, terminator 2 over any of the new gay shit that comes out today!

  • @liflyguy I had the NES game of willow hahah
