Actually, I liked Ron Paul at one time. Once I heard his views on legalization of illicits, I got turned off. By him saying he has not smoked or has never been around others that have does not make his view more creditable. I'd prefer the government not get involved. Like you said it's a less then perfect world and the harsh reality is some people can't afford health care. No matter what the government does the money just isn't there in the current economy the numbers don't add up. Just look at history every society that buys into a utopia where the government will take care of everything ends up getting enslaved. So I would rather let the free market decide who gets care then the government.
