Selaam aleykum, thank you for your comment. It is not an error, it's actually the more common way of transcribing the letter 'Ayn (which looks like a backwards 3, for anybody who doesn't know) - the sound does not have an equivalent in English and most standard transliterations of the Quran include a "capital A" to represent it: so the word is correctly transliterated as min Ailmihi - from His Knowledge.
1. Nobody's going to burn in hell until after the Day of Judgement. You do believe in the day of Judgement don't you? What is the point of the "judgement" if we're judged BEFORE it? Moron.
2. God loves Muhammad pbuh more than you could possibly know. He will never burn in hell.
3. No human being has any knowledge of who will burn in hell (prophets will NOT). To speak in the manner that you do implies you believe you have the knowledge of God. That is idolatry.
@itiswrittenbaptist WOW!!!! What's with all the hate? If that is what you believe that the prophet Muhammad is burning in hell right now, then I can't change that but out of curiosity what are Jesus and the bible's view on arrogance?

You are a disgusting hater. You should focus on loving your religion, instead of hating others'. May Allah remove the sickness from your heart and people like you. Shalom.
Even in the New Testament we read the following statement attributed to Jesus saying to his disciples:
"I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence." (Luke 19:26-27)
similar verses out of context:When the LORD your God gives it into your hand, you shall strike all the men in it with the edge of the sword. the children and the animals and all that is in the city, all its spoil, you shall take as booty for yourself; and you shall use the spoil of your enemies which the LORD your God has given you... Only in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes (Deutronomy 20:10-17)
Old testament: When the LORD your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it,and clears away many nations before you,the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you. And when the LORD your God delivers them before you and you defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them. (Deutronomy7:1-2)
I dont think that this old testament verse is out of context at all. Its violent and murderous. I am not a Christian or a Jew so I dont know why you assume I will jump in to defend them.
These Biblical texts have been used by many violent Jewish and Christian groups. Crusaders used them against Muslims and Jews. Nazis used them against Jews. Recently Serbian Christians used them against Bosnian Muslims. Zionists are using them regularly against Palestinians.Let me mention just a few verses from the Old Testament and New Testament and tell me what do you say about them:
It is important that we study the religious texts in their proper context. When these texts are not read in their proper textual and historical contexts they are manipulated and distorted. It is true that some Muslims manipulate these verses for their own goals. But this is not only with Islamic texts, it is also true with the texts of other religions. I can quote dozens of verses from the Bible which seem very violent, if taken out from their historical context.
Its no defense for Muslims to simply say "Yeah well others do it too". Christians and Jews are no less ridiculous in their belief in and propagations of fairytales. The difference is that radical Muslims are willing to strap bombs to themselves or to mentally handicapped people to detonate pizza parlors and bus stations in the name of their magical man in the sky.
at the time when Muslims were attacked by the non-Muslims of Makkah on a regular basis. They were killing the Muslim community of Madinah. One may say using the contemporary jargon that there were constant terrorist attacks on Madinah and in this situation Muslims were given permission to fight back the "terrorist". These verses are not a permission for "terrorism" but they are a warning against the "terrorists." But even in these warnings you can see how much restraint and care is emphasized.
I just dont see the restraint and care in men who wear bombs into crowded theaters or in a squad of fighters who kidnap unarmed civilians, slice off their heads, and televise it. I dont see restraint and care in flying jumbo jets into skyscrapers, killing thousands. I don't see restraint and care in using children's TV shows to teach Muslim children to hate and kill Jews. I dont see restraint and care in Sunni shooting Shia in the streets over disputed details of a made-up, manmade fairytale.
@sig0 I believe the media has portrayed a distorted image of Islam and you are looking at a minority, you will not see the learned muslims encouraging this sort of behaviour and you will never hear of the prophet Muhammed (SAW) commending this evil act. There are some crazy few out there doing these acts in the name of religion but the majority do not. I strongly feel you should research the worlds major religions before passing judgement and before tarring all muslims with that brush, thank yoy
Then how come the Qur'an says this? The verses you mention are taken out of context. The answer is simple and that is, you should read these verses in their textual and historical context. You should read the whole verse and it is better that you read few verses before and few after. Read the full text and see what is said
Oh, here comes the old excuse. Whenever a verse from the Quran is quoted, some Muslim comes along and says "You read it out of context". I did not read them out of context and have fully read them front to back. I simply cannot quote the entire verse here without running out of space.
Surely the Quran teaches some good things but you are blind or choose not to see if you insist that the Quran doesn't also teach that ostracism, damnation, and death should be put upon non believers.
The Qur'an says about the prohibition of murder, (...Take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus does He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.) (Al-An`am 6: 151) and Allah says in the Qur'an, (Nor take life, which Allah has made sacred, except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, We have given his heir authority (to demand Qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the law))
Its the loopholes of when killing is made acceptable or "just" by the Quran that is at issue. Those that Muslims judge to be idolaters and nonbelievers are to be ostracized, taxed, or killed. Its spoken over and over again in the Quran.
The media, the press and political administration under Bush are all launching a propaganda brainwash campaign in trying to spread lies and misundersatndings about Islam.
Unless you are a Jew, non believer or other infidel that refuses Islam. In that case the Quran teaches that its ok to terrorize, ostracize, and kill in the name of God.
Thank you for asking about my religion. I am sorry to tell you that this is a misconception which you obviously had heard from someone who wants to attack muslims by spreading misconceptions. I am a Muslim and I have lots of non muslim close friends. If you study the real scriptures and sources of Islam you would understand that Muslims are commanded to treat non Muslims with tolerance and best manner.
"...Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve"
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have rejected..."
"And kill them wherever you find them, and expel them from where they expelled you, and know that persecution is worse than being killed. And do not fight them at the Restricted Temple unless they fight you in it; if they fight you then kill them, thus is the reward of the disbelievers."
Hate is not good for any person. I want to assure you that we Muslims also do not hate non-Muslims, be they Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhist or followers of any religion or no religion. Our religion does not allow killing any innocent person regardless of his or her religion. The life of all human beings is sacrosanct according to the teachings of the Qur'an and the guidance of our blessed Prophet Muhammad
Good question. Technically the Kursi is the "footstool" but 7/15 English translators chose to use "Throne" and NONE of the others actually chose to use the word footstool.
I guess the translators felt the word "Throne" better symbolized the intended meanings of Knowledge & Sovereignty more than "Footstool" does call those things to mind for somebody reading the English.
Perhaps, but we have no authority to purposely change one word's meaning from the Qur'an unless we don't have an alternative.
Also, "Footstool" would be more befitting to symbolize ALLAH's sovereignty and majesty because if only the FOOTSTOOL extends over the HEAVENS and the EARTH, we can't even comprehend how majestic and mighty ALLAH's THRONE would be =) SUBHANALLAH!
Its Amir from London I just wanted to let you know I owe you so much the only way I can pay you back is through the prayers to Allah swt in your favoure. May Allah swt preserve you in good state always.
Well, I can't respond for sheikh Hamza but he is certainly worth your prayers brother. He is one of the great scholars for English speaking people and has certainly inspired me through many of his speeches.
May Allah SWT bless you, from a Sister in Islam who just posted a recording of somebody's else's beautiful recitation of the beautiful words of Allah SWT.

Is it propaganda to expose the daily murders performed in the name of a fairytale that claims to be peaceful?
sig0 3 years ago
Islam has strictly prohibited harming or killing to the extent that whoever kills a human being it is as if he has killed all of mankind.
ultimatewisdom24 3 years ago
Unless you are a Jew, non believer or other infidel that refuses Islam. In that case the Quran teaches that its ok to terrorize, ostracize, and kill in the name of God.

Thank you for asking about my religion. I am sorry to tell you that this is a misconception which you obviously had heard from someone who wants to attack muslims by spreading misconceptions. I am a Muslim and I have lots of non muslim close friends. If you study the real scriptures and sources of Islam you would understand that Muslims are commanded to treat non Muslims with tolerance and best manner.

Quran:
"slay the idolaters wherever ye find them..."

Does anyone know why did Hamza say throne when most of the scholars say the "KURSI" refers to ALLAH's foot-stool, not the THRONE!
mohdsaad90 4 years ago
Good question. Technically the Kursi is the "footstool" but 7/15 English translators chose to use "Throne" and NONE of the others actually chose to use the word footstool.
ReadSurahsnDuas 4 years ago
The 2nd most popular choice was "Knowledge"
I guess the translators felt the word "Throne" better symbolized the intended meanings of Knowledge & Sovereignty more than "Footstool" does call those things to mind for somebody reading the English.
ReadSurahsnDuas 4 years ago
Perhaps, but we have no authority to purposely change one word's meaning from the Qur'an unless we don't have an alternative.
Also, "Footstool" would be more befitting to symbolize ALLAH's sovereignty and majesty because if only the FOOTSTOOL extends over the HEAVENS and the EARTH, we can't even comprehend how majestic and mighty ALLAH's THRONE would be =) SUBHANALLAH!

Selaam Amir!
