I got to watch this game as a kid from the Private Boxes that were Waaay Up in the old Gradens! It was truly EPIC! Still have my "Refuse 2 Lose" memorabilia as well!

Oh man, great find. Even though my beloved Sharks went down to the Leafs, such great memories from a classic series.

That Garpenlov crossbar shot still haunts many Sharks fans, myself included.

Who could forget Garpenlov hitting the cross bar in OT in Game 6, or Ozolinsh passing instead of shooting from point blank?

What a series that was. The Leafs were in deep trouble against a smaller but skilled Sharks team, but managed to pull if off.

I saw the taping of the game in the Wendel Clark portion of the new DVD set of 10 great Leafs and their most memorable game. It was Game 7 and almost everyone in the Gardens had a sign saying "Refuse to Lose". I was just curious to know who said that quote. I was only 2 during that series lol

Don't know that anybody in particular can stake claim to the quote. I think it just became a slogan that was made for signs and t-shirts.
