The movie wasn't made in Japan . . . or did you just mean the original series? Anyway, Toriyama didn't have anything to do with this; he signed away the rights long ago, and Fox bought 'em up. That's all there is to it. He's a fan of movies, and doesn't seem particularly attached to DB (he originally wrote it for cigarette money), and he likes new interpretations of his series, so I think he may enjoy the movie. He might not even know anything about it, as it's an American production. Who knows.

He has his blue gi that we've seen. And he has that orange one that everyone said "Looked cheap".
