It was probably the same refs that said that Calvin Johnson's touchdown catch was incomplete in that week one game between Detroit and Chicago in 2010. This is more blatant of a mistake than that but not by much. I can forgive weak programming more than people getting paid to directly watch a play in the NFL and screwing it up.

@skateorguitar123 unlike punts, kickoffs are live once they go 10 yards, so it's almost like a fumble, only if it bounces out of the endzone it's a touchback, not a safety. the only way to get a touchback on a kick is to either catch it in the end zone and down it or let it bounce out of the end zone. Otherwise, if you let it stay in the end zone, they can recover it for TD.
