What a fantastic version of another fanfreakintastic Runrig song! I cannae believe people still are arguing over who's the better singer: Donnie or Bruce. Both are fantastic. I love Runrig in all it's various incarnations. As long as Rory & Colum are writing the songs & Malcolm hangs in there, Runrig will always be great!!!
I saw this and had to say, Donnie Munroe was the proper voice of Runrig and the best live version of this song can be found on the live cd "once in a lifetime" released in 88. who from the original band are left? the guitar sound was a bit poor on this version. my opinion anyway but i loved this band when i wiz wee.
From the "original band" only Calum and Rory MacDonald (Bass and Percussion) are left. But the original band was only those two and Blair Douglas on Accordion. If you're referring to the "classic" line-up then four of them are left, Calum and Rory plus Iain and Malcolm on drums and guitar respectively. I agree about Once In A Lifetime being the best, but you roll with what you get and Bruce Guthro is a bloody good singer.
