  • awesome !!!

  • This brings me back to the Warfield show in '96 when she sang it just as brilliantly. The audience was even louder though! Boy, do I miss them.

  • Mary Margaret O'Hara and Liz Frazer are two of the greatest singers ever.

  • I was fortunate enough to have seen them at Sadler's Wells theatre in London around about this time. There are only two bands that I would love to see reform - Talking Heads and Cocteau Twins.

  • taka piosenka na żywca,mało kto by tak zaśpiewał pełny profesjonalizm

  • ughhh i love the 80s,only if i would of been born............

  • Ugh, the audience is so annoying! >:(

  • @ninethreefivesix Totally agree. There's a similar live version on here under heading Pandora CT's Live the Black Sessions where the audience keep quiet til the end :O)

  • @ninethreefivesix the shubnigurat posted video btw...

  • when and where was this? Pandora's Music Box Rotterdam 1984???

    Please comment here

  • .....coś wręcz wpaniałego...brak w piersi tchu...wspaniały głos Liz unosi mnie...brak mi słów.

  • Wow, this is inspired singing by Liz. One of the best live performances I've ever heard from her. Where was this from?

  • Sadly I never got to see The Cocteau Twins live, but at least I can listen to this, close my eyes, and pretend I am one of the enthusiastic, mesmerized audience members. What a beautiful live version of my favorite CT song.

  • Splendid!

This song makes me remember the ex-lover when I was a university student (more than 20 years ago) because of her favorite song.

  • Awe...so amazing.

  • Astoundingly beautiful.

  • subclub night moves vamps lloyd cole twins ahhhhhhhhhhh eighties bleached blonde hair young etchy feet man s alive seen this live soooooooooooo good make a cum bak.....wimpybum lives sort x

  • This is just lovely. I've been a fan for many years, and I would dearly love to see them reform, or even see Liz Fraser live. Nothing like them before or since xxx

  • I want to cry

  • F**k sake that was amazing

  • Una gran cancion para un buen viaje....

  • liz has to be in the top 5 of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

  • @aproachingsilence top 5 is a bit much but she would be on any list of the greastest..

  • WOW amazing live version!!! from what bootleg is it??

  • this song, played live, always makes me wanna cry

  • Twins fan for 25 years. I'm forty. Hearing the interplay between the band and the audience is cheering. The love among the band members is palpable. The love between the band and the audience is doubly cheering. Please - if anyone out there has more of these recordings get them out here for us. This recording has been a revelation for me. As Liz sings in "Evangeline" - "there is no going back". These recordings are all we have. Unless they do a "comeback tour" like, say, the Stones ; )

  • @IzaakHaaze There is some really amazing rare live recordings uploaded by a gentle person called fatcatbuzz, you can check them, there is a lot of them.

  • Does the crowd have to ruin this song. Just be quiet already.

  • who is cindy :( ?

  • Liz:

  • no, you're right, it seems hard to find good recent bands to me too ...

  • i disagree, there's many...

  • que hermosa cancion

  • When I saw the Cocteaus live I was too mesmerised to be making noises, it was like being close to my religion, hard to explain really.

  • @avalyn5 - I was the same - I just couldn't believe what I was seeing - Liz looked as if she was channelling something otherworldly, standing constantly beating her breast. That was when she still used to use a lot of that strange but lovely vibrato when she sang.

  • Liz Fraizer has the be one of the most amazing singers that ever was. The Cocteau Twins music takes me to a different place. I think it's called outer space. Or the desert.

  • love babe (:

  • the crowd does seem not really excessive but FORCED. This crowd is fukinn w/ alot of ppl moods.

  • crowds=boiling mass of suppurating humanity [I stalk drunk couples]

  • the crowd <3 and liz is giving their love back 2 as hard, i love it

  • Asi deben cantar las Sirenas...

  • Only twice??? How much would you sell one of those memories for?

    ............

Can't blame the audience for losing their sht when faced with God.

  • hmmmm,... the song is good,...she's sounds like that song a bunch on this one... but still that crowd..seen them twice only.

  • The version of this song is Awsome. The best version I have ever heard of this song. where did U get this version.

  • WOW! what else can i say???!!!

  • What a stunning version. Thanks for sharing!

  • yeah they think they at some kinda rowdy party college fucks or some rock hard party show.. what the hell is that....I know people get happy and what not... I don't like how the drums get loud either....party on wade ! ! !

  • I bet you wouldn't have said that if you had been there! The crowd sometimes annoy me, but I understand their ecstatic utterings. It must have been something else to witness this live!!

  • I hope Liz, Robin and Simon live forever!!! They deserve Eternity, and their legend will surely live on forever and ever as long as there are people who love music. I am so grateful they did all these tracks and I hope they do meny more!!!

I only wish I was born earlier so I could see them live...

  • The audience sucks...

  • incredible..

  • excellent!:-}

  • when/where is it from?

  • this is the LIVE version..

  • What a live version! Isn't this just magical?

  • new wave heaven, say i,kiss your first girl all over again,M9.

  • Goosebumbs.... Liz's voice is the best ever.

  • Love this song!! is so amazing!!

  • im alive and in heaven

  • Ditto!

  • of course you (we) are...she has the voice of an angel.

  • My favourite song from Treasure.

  • goregous...

  • Simplemente Hermosa T__T

  • Is there anymore from this gig anywhere on t'Internet??

  • people keep tellin me i look like her

  • What? Like then, or now?

  • when she was preggers with spikey hair

  • OMG that is just too beautiful to put into words how it makes me feel. Elizabeth, no one will ever come close to your talent

  • Sooo yummmy! Thank you!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

  • In studio they are GREAT!

but on stage they are wonderfull!

they give another form to the songs.

    They are strong!

Elizabeth as a great feeling and sensibility...

    the musicians reivnvent the music...

    GREAT!

  • tell y'all what: THIS is one absolutely through the freakin' roof magnificent singing performance! wow wow wow wow wow!

  • check out Bluebell Knoll live on here. You won't believe it. I've been a fan for 25 yrs, seen em live , but that is amazing..

  • oh i've heard it and it is certainly a high-lite. where did you see them and how were they that night?

  • Wolverhampton(UK), 1996. Not so good unfortunately, i think she was going out with Jeff Buckley at the time and he was encouraging her to give live songs different interpretations (like Bluebeard in the dropdown list over there> Hard to tell which song she ws singing half the time)). Still pretty awesome but not as good as some of her live singing on here...

  • i think all bands/artists have kind of an on-off rythm throughout their live performances. i mean, good Lord, i was a huge JIMI HENDRIX fan growing up, and heaven knows some of his live performances were pretty much awful. the thing to remember about LIZ FRASER is: she DEFINITELY had the hardest job in the band.

but when she was "ON," live, woe was she ever on! like that live "Pitch the Baby" w/ Mark Clifford...

  • I attempted to play this song acoutistically. It really doesn't sound right without the chorus and reverb effects.

  • UN BEL VIDEO, SALUTI DA NAPOLI!

  • thank you

  • I always assumed this song wouldn't be sung live because of the layers on the recorded version, but this is a revelation. With a voice like that you can do anything you like. Best singer ever.

  • Deus do Céu

Impossível ouvir e não se emocionar Impossible to listen and not feel thrilled, deeply touched

  • Yo y EA hicimos el amor con esa y fue m-a-r-a-v-i-l-l-o-s-o!!!

Es lindo venirse y llorara con cocteau . . .

  • effortless, evocative sound. Liz you rock

  • treasure was the build up to the amazing and classic blue bell knoll

  • I don't have the slightest idea of the lyrics; but not necessary this is pure dadaist poetry sung by one of the most amazing voices in the world, Liz Fraser.

    Forever live Cocteau Twins.

  • (L)

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFF.. F F F F F FF FFFF.. FFFFF FFFFFF FF FFF F FFF FFFF F..F.F.F.F.FFF... • can one say "mind-blowing"?

  • uuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh!! =P

  • uuuuuuhhh!!! =P

  • You can't fake passion like this!

  • This is the kind of find that keeps me coming back to see if any gems are out there. Thanks for the treat!

  • songs okay just please get rid of that lame audience that think their good enough to sit there and yell

  • Lame? Sit there and yell? This (American, Boston I think) audience are in pure rapture!! Different to a UK audience, but I can understand their pure joy & unbridled enthusiasm when I listen to this!

  • ultra cool!

  • if you like this you should hear the real version of this song. one of the main points of the cocteau twins was that they never employed a real drummer!

  • i luv hearing LIZ knock 'em out the back of the room!

  • wow!

  • fans de COCTEAU TWINS alrededor del mundo mi mail jraulbuelna@hotmail

  • AMAZING! One beautiful, penetrating, vibrant phrase after another bringing the audience into a frenzy! Wish I was there!

  • THIS gave me freakin' chills...I've never heard this live before. Very emotionally done...

  • this brought tears in my eyes...

  • PANDORA, aaahah I luv this song! Thanks to pandora I fell in love with Cocteaus:D

  • zajefajnie:)ładny fryz Liz

  • this song is the recipe for an instant good mood

  • what makes me crazy when I listen to this... I think of all the current "artists" who lip synch when they do a live show... this is pure brilliance and it would be a tragedy if she was a huge pussy like most of today's pop stars and didn't have the balls to really sing live, because I own every studio recording she's made of this song (as far as I know ) and her voice is the most exquisite by far on this one.

  • best ever

  • belleza celestial

  • cool and beautiful song.i like it.

  • Fantastic Song

  • cocteau twins preciosoooo !!!

  • Liked the way you used all pics from same gig. The way Liz sang this live version sent shivers down my spine. I love this band...

  • I love this song.
