  • say. what's the big idea?

  • Never gets old... why did they even do a remake, like this wasnt good enough already.

  • how do you get this off......well i..oh haha very funny

  • I liked the new version.

  • Just watched it on Netflix. Oh my GOSH, that was a good movie. The movie made me want them to get away with it the whole time, but the ending just... OWNED. haha, I hate being sixteen in this day and age...

  • I just watched this movie today: I love it!!! Nothing beats a movie with the Rat Pack. Thanks for the upload!

  • combine the new oceans 11 soundtrack with the 1960's oceans 11, and get the best damned movie ever made ;D

  • 2:27 !!! Sammy!

  • "How do you get this stuff off..."

  • For a movie with a great story idea, and with this much star power, this film is unfortunately a lot less than you'd think it would be. The actual robbery goes by pretty fast, and after that there's a whole lot of nothing but men going into hotel rooms, lighting cigarettes and drinking booze, and then walking out again. That, and talking on the phone.

The guys are amusing to watch but overall, it's nothing like what it should've been.

  • rat pack!

  • The Flamingo is one of the casinos they rob in this movie? That's Bugsy Siegel's casino!!!! The mafia owned the casino at the time. So in this movie, they are stealing from the mafia.

  • @Goedhartbros

    now thats hardcore

  • @Goedhartbros That must be why Andy Garcia was cast in the remake, eh?

  • @Goedhartbros this movie was made 13 years after bugsy's death

  • @xx1andONLYCJxx Yes, but also after Bugsy died, the mafia still owned the casino.

  • This movie is underrated. I saw one critic claiming that this movie is "weak " and that the remake "is better". IT'S BULLSHIT!!! I've seen both the original and the remake, and the original version made a bigger impression on me. I am a huge Rat Pack-fan because this movie. It entertained me every second. BRILLIANT ENDING!!!

  • @Goedhartbros

The remake was retarded. You would never see someone as bad ass as Sinatra do a job that huge just to win the heart of a girl, As much as I love most of the cast of the remake it just dont compare at all

  • @skankinruby I don't like the remake either. The original has more style.

  • @skankinruby I liked both. For a remake it at least had pay off. The original is the best but I still see some good in the 2001 version. As for the remake's sequels . . . you ever beat a dead horse?

  • i don't like what vegas has become.

  • @BerkeleyBuilt

I only know what vegas is now, what has it become that makes it worse than 30-40 years ago

  • Frank Sinatra: "We made a movie long time ago called Ocean's Eleven, and it was a marvelous movie!!!"

  • GTKDZ@YAHOO

  • i have2 buy this movie even though I never saw it but the rat pack is so amazing

  • one of the best films i've watched =)

  • Frank and Brad Pitt are like apples and oranges. Neither one has to be superior to the other.

The modern remake was a reinterpretation to pay homage to the old school swingers. not an attempt to one up them.

I mean, in all reality they are both superb.

  • Sammy Davis was their best friend and they were his in return. This wasn't racist but only a racist would believe it was. It's imagining things to be offended by, thus offending everyone else. The only ones keeping racism alive are... well... racists.

  • @magnoliasouth Exactly... grown people can handle jokes between friends, and grown people can tell it's just a joke and not take it personal. Like most racist self-centered egotistical blow hards ready to call anyone racist for any racial remark of any kind. "Why are black olives kept locked up in the dark inside a can, while green olives are allowed to see the light of day? RACIST!!!".

  • Did i read that right, Sinatra is no brad pitt, I like Brad but hes not in the same league as sinatra, as yes Sinatra has an oscar! the film was of its day but for its day its fantastic, and a chance to see the old vegas, some of these wannabes really have to get into the swing baby!

  • @dawatcher88

What does he mean when he says stuff off? :S

  • I think he's trying to tease him saying how do you get the stuff of YOUR face. Since they are puting on temporery make up, his face is his permanent skin tone.

  • @dawatcher88 Black skin's a colour, it ain't a tone

  • Frank Sinatra won an Academy Award. From what I know, Brad Pitt hasn't.

  • actually I'm genuenly curious, are there any African Americans out there who are wathing this and getting offended? if so please leave a comment and tell me why. because as of now I don't find anything wrong with the scene, but then again I'm white so maybe I just don't get it.

  • then dont watch it! Sammy Davis Junior apparently didnt mind...this was just a witty comment that mildly poked fun...quit crying.

  • also blazing saddles was created by a JEWISH GUY that takes all of his JEW stereotypes to the extreme simply because hes got a great sense of humor.

  • then take your sensitive ass out of here...like it or not some of the funniest comedy involves race...but its just a joke, nothing more.

  • one its not really racist, two you not offended by the homophobic joke??? : /

  • i like ocean's eleven (the George clooney and brad pitt version)

but i think this is the oraginal..

  • lol you think so?

  • yeah..

how bout you?.. what do you like? the original version or the george clooney version?.. just asking.. =)

  • I havn't seen this one yet but it looks fun I may have to check it out!

  • hahah you're right.. i think it's fun too ^_^

  • It's racist, SO WHAT?! A racist joke isn't the end of the world.

People who take offense like you do will find racism ANYWHERE!

Like that uneducated dope who thought "black hole" was a racist term.

You are the kind who finds the game of pool "racist" just because the white ball controls the table and the black ball is ignored until last.

  • "what does it tell me?" I tells me too many people are waiting to be offended and have too thin of a skin. A joke involving race is not the end of the world. Watch the first 10 mins of "Blazing Saddles." It is halarious.

  • What does putting on makeup for a robbery have to do with minstrel shows? Many minstrels were black and they are funny shows. Lighten up and enjoy life.

  • what the heck is racist about putting on makeup so they won't be seen at night? You need to quit spending your life waiting to be offended.

    It was funny and harmless.

  • It was a joke dude, you take yourself WAY to seriously to actually comment on that. Have you seen the roast of Sammy Davis Jr? He laughs with the racism. Chill out.

  • This is where it's at

  • Oh, I don't pine for a time when Jim Crow and overall segregation was much more prominent than it is now. I just appreciate that they were able to keep a sense of humor about it, compared to the overly fragile sensibilities too many of us have now, whatever skin color.

  • peter lawford kinda reminds me of george clooney.

  • Eat your heart out, George Clooney... You'll never be this cool.

  • Man i just found that Ocean's Eleven 2001 is a remake of this fantastic movie!

I HAVE to see this someday.

But where can i buy it ? Or download it ?

  • Thank U

  • Never got into the more recent version, but watched this one not long ago and thought it was fantasic. It was a great time of movies and this is a must watch movie.

  • BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • When I saw this in 1960 I thought the characters were the coolest, watched it again recently and the 60's hip swinger stuff comes across as a pathetic, weird way for grown men to act.

  • My dad was a musician of this generation and even met Martin and Lewis once. I wish I had his America.

"I knew this color would come in handy someday". So wonderfully un-PC, said by the supposed "victim" of such offenses. Can't do that now.

  • @tucsonia

seriously? u r sad because u cant say that stuff now? what are u?

  • @zahratrutz I'm a typical American guy in 2010. You smug Eurotrash think you can cherrypick a piece of mid-20th century pop culture from here and judge it whence you have NEVER so much as set foot here and have not enough familiarity with the overall landscape to begin to rate it (and myself) as you do. So what you say now?

  • @tucsonia Your dad met Martin & Lewis?! What were they like???

  • @lotsandlotsofbubbles Didn't really tell me, he showed me the autographed picture from them.

  • @tucsonia What i would do to meet Jerry Lewis, love that guy.

  • @tucsonia What do you mean you can't do that now? I see blacks playing the black card and black jokes in most new movies....

  • I say that movie two or three times. It's a shame they never got away with the money. But I have just seven words left to say: those men wrote the book on cool.

  • Seen this movie a couple of times. Think it's great and miss all these old-timers immensely. These guys had staying power. That's why they cast all of them together. This was THE film that year because it had ALL the strong players of that year.

  • I soooooooooo want to see the movie =)

  • i just what it last week you it a must see i thank it was better then the new one

  • anyone know where I can get this song thats being played in the trailer?

  • i love them,

they were great and they still are to me!

    *Mj*

  • They all are sorely missed. The best bunch of entertainers ever. Itis a shame that all their movies aren't available!! GREAT POST

  • Yeah,he'll be missed forever...

  • He'll be missed..
