  • Why isn't this on itunes?

  • Picture 500 goodlooking men, barechested, movin' smooth to this song. That's how I heard it the first time. Talk about a picture in my mind that flashed at that instant. WOW.

  • can this be purchased anywhere as mp3?

  • @IrrepressibleGuile

I wish. I have been looking high and low, with no success :(

  • I wish I was around back in the day to experience this music when it came out. I can picture myself rollin down the pch jamming this shit on the 8 track. Truly timeless music ! Better than the Jackson 5ive :)

  • This takes me to another place. Well made clothes, cars and serene images of beauty. If the Seventies had a voice, this is it!

    ^_^

  • bless Zulema!!!!!!!!!!!

i found out about her through Andrew Holleran's book "dancer from the dance"...amzing & captivating voice!!!!!!

    thanx gor the posting!

  • she may not have been a huge commercial success but we played alot of her in the GAY clubs(also Giving Up )love her and miss those days when we all got along

  • What a tune , i have this on 45 but with a different beginning...

  • I have been trying to find this tune for 15 years Heard it in the raw club and asked the dj the tune!

Many thanks indeed for posting this.

  • Thank you friend!

  • I love her, thanks. Do you have "A lighter Shade Of Pale" by Zulema. If you do please post it. She is fabulous.

  • Her only charting record during that time was a cover of the early Michael Jackson Motown hit Wanna Be Where You Are, which reached #58 R&B. In 1978, she released the album Z-Licious on Le Joint Records in 1978, which featured a duet with long-term collaborator Van McCoy. McCoy

She sang with Faith, Hope and Charity. Their song "So Much Love" hit #15 on the R&B chart and #60 on the pop chart in 1970.

  • Her first release after leaving Faith, Hope & Charity was a song called "HAIL HAIL AMERICA" which was a classic when it was released. Lyrics included the phrase, "Groups taking over from east to west, they've got rouge on their cheeks and hair on their chest, hail hail america, hail to the red white and blue" I hope someone can find this and post it

  • Caught them on the Soul Train throwback episode (same one with Graham Central Station).

I had only heard the Jackson 5 version, but when I heard them singing it on the show, I was like "Wow! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!"

A seriously heavy groove, ya dig? ;-)

  • I just heard this song last night for this first time and it's changed my life.. Thank you for having it!!!! Do you have a copy of the MP3 or something? Or did you rip it to your computer from Vinyl? This would sound GREAT in my CAR!!
