As an Englishman it's hard to watch this goal, given the other goal that Maradonna scored in this game!

Do you know all the players? from Pele, to Just Fontaine (13 goals in a world cup), to Zidane, Zico, Ronaldhino, Ronaldo, Rumenige... It's just a matter of opinion. The best player to me is the one who makes his team win, whether by scoring or by helping his team, inspiring it, and you can only inspire your team by being a class act, in and outside the field.

As an Englishman it's hard to watch this goal, given the other goal that Maradonna scored in this game!
But no one can rightly claim that this is anything other than a truly great goal.
That said, I still think Bergkamp's goal for The Netherlands against Argentina is better though, just for the instant control of a 60 yard pass and the way he turned Ayala, who was a great defender.

Totally agree. Bergkamp's goal is stupendous. I love Maradona's goal against England though. I think he probably feels it's the best he scored.
