@errolmiranda Not so, my friend. The anointing of the Holy Ghost can fall on anyone in any way. The "justice" a talented black person can do to this song is easily topped by any other singer with the anointing of God on them, no matter what ethnicity they are. We are all equal at the foot at the cross, there's not a special section for the "black gospel choir" or any other group. There shouldn't have to be a distinction between a "black church" or a "white church". Why not just have church!?

@errolmiranda I see your point, I have wonderful African friends and the way they praise and worship the Lord is with overflowing with wholehearted joy and delight. I can sing as loud as I want and dance however I want and I don't stand out. God did give them a gift of music and I believe it is to show us how to delight in the Lord as King David wrote in the Psalms - and what is more important than giving God the praise and worship He deserves?

I myself believe in Christ-- that said, I think this attack on Christians you're seeing is because, by and large, there are a LOT more Christians who try to "convert" others than Atheists who try to push their beliefs on others. There are understanding and ignorant people in both categories. But as a Christian, I've been really turned off by how some close minded people seem to speak for our whole faith.

I'm sorry but Christ instructed all his followers to tell the Good news; though forceful "conversion" is wrong whether via physical or verbal force, but there's nothing wrong with civil dialogue. It's on both sides that sometimes this civility is lacking. Also let's not devolve into relativism in religion, one thing we do know: either you're right or you're wrong and if you follow Christ you believe you're right and should be able to provide reasons why.

No you don't, but don't doubt what this song is trying to convey nor doubt what the intention of this song when it was written. I find John Lennon's "give peace a chance" inspiring even though he was an atheist. As a physicist I find Richard Feynman incredibily inspiring but he too was an atheist. My ultimate inspiration though is Christ, my Lord.

But when the Christians tell them their faith, it is hypocrisy... I don't get the logic. If they declare they are atheists, others would find it okay.
