Why so many comments of "11 is already too many"? There's this idea in our culture that kids are a hassle, so more kids must be more hassle. But if you are raising them correctly, and especially if one parent stays home with the kids, then the older kids help with the younger kids and everything goes a lot more smoothly.

Our family is close friends with a family that has 7 kids. I don't think 11 is all that big a deal. That kid's gonna need her siblings.

There are no juries in CPS proceedings because CPS proceedings fall under civil, not criminal law, and they don't deal in criminal penalties (i.e. jail time).

"Best interests of the child" is the most evil phrase in the English language. That baby girl needs her brothers and sisters, not strangers. It's no coincidence that CPS separated the baby from her siblings. The vast majority of prospective adopters only want babies. These ignorant, arrogant social workers who play God are catering to the demands of self-serving adults. They don't care how much they harm the children. They lie without remorse to cover up their unethical conduct.

I am the oldest of 4 Kids and we where in the same foster home because our birth mom was on drugs and tried to slice her wrist in front of my sister who was 6 at the time. our birth mom also abused us to no end. we where adopted by our foster parents and have been with them ever sience. I was 13 and adopted at 16 nad now I will be 28 years old in July.

That Bettendorf woman said "Biology should win". So why are the children being removed from their own biological parents, aunts, uncles...and the other thing is when a child is placed with adoptive parents, isn't harmful to then remove that child after its grown attached to its new family?

Each state has it's own cps rules, just because a family fosters does not mean it wants to adopt. The biological family members had time to step forward and adopt any of those children while they were in care. At the last minute an extended family member steps forward... is that fair? AND I work with these parents along side CPS workers- we do EVERYTHING to keep the family together. It is SO difficult to terminate parent's rights- sometimes too difficult. There must be tons of proof and history.

Although i am suspicious about how children become taken into care and adopted (some should never have been taken from their natural parents. I do agree however that its is ALWAYS IN THE CHILDS BEST INTERESTS TO STAY WITH THEIR SIBLINGS. Social workers and courts are such hypocrites! and not only has this child lost a natural mother and father but also 4 brothers/sisters! they are depriving him of the only blood relatives the child has left.This makes me so angry,i wish you luck.

I do believe that if children are being molested ,severely abused,neglected that they should be removed.But in my case the case worker spoke to me for 20 minutes and made as decsion to take my children. My son told me foster care is the worst he been treated in his life.That hurts me, but some people do not care if their children are taken. Not all case workers are bad. but most are liars.

Amazing the youngest didn't get allowed to go with the siblings seeing as how most people want to adopt babies or younger children. Why split up these siblings and if the five would put them one over why even allow them to have these children at all.

No, actually you are the idiot, because you believe everything you're told without doing any independent research.  If you did 15 minutes research, you'd discover that CPS is an incredibly oorrupt arm of the government that routinely puts children in foster homes that it knows are abusive, and it's all for the money. FIVE TIMES as many children are murdered (and that's only if you believe the CPS's doctored stats - it's probably MUCH higher) in foster homes, than in the REAL parent's home.

In Canada Child Protection or CAS is a corporation, they fall under the corporations act. They are funded by the gov. based on statistics, and also get private funding. These people depending on position get paid $50,000-$150,000. This is an indusrty and our children are the commodity. These children are placed in Child protection care, which makes CAS, CPS etc..responsible for the welfare of that child.

Social workers get paid by the state, Just like any other state employee. I actually work in adoptions..Helping children find permanency after their parents beat and molest them. Not all workers are corrupt!

BTW I have never heard of "CPS employee kills child", it's usually the parents or corrupt foster homes.. Do more research.. I for one have never supported murder of any kind. For you to say that is ridiculous and rude.

If I personally had knowledge of abuse in a foster home, I have no problem shutting it down. I do not know how things are in your state but if things are as corrupt as you say, do what you have to do to put an end to it.

I am not employed through DCFS, I am in Texas. Please know every state runs their agency different and we are VERY strict on CPS employees here. I guess that is why this was a shock to me, because we do not have cps workers stealing kids, selling them etc. If anything we try to bring families together and try not to remove them from their home if it's avoidable

Look up CPS in Texas here on YouTube. They have problems, too. All DCFS offices have the same problem: no Internal Affairs Department. I know Texas VERY well. I have 18 cases out of two offices out there where kids were taken from the innocent. I've seen the court papers and all evidences and am certain of the corruption there. I'm not saying it was you. I'm saying it happens there, too: the same way.
