  • Love the ad for Mogen David wine, makers of M(ad) D(og) 20/20, choice of skid row bums everywhere. It's "fortified," meaning the alcohol content is artificially boosted up to 20%.

  • @funboy7979 LOL. I like that ad too! -Michael

  • Ken Roberts was the father of Tony Roberts from Broadway and Woody Allen movies.

  • @dandydonaldo Ken Roberts also has an old-time radio pedigree: he played dull-witted "adopted son" Cokie in the old "Easy Aces" serial radio comedy (1930s-early 1940s), then became the announcer and neighbour to the Aces when they tried an updated sitcom version, "mr. ace and JANE," in 1948.

  • @ 2.21 ok then if you are watching Dollar A Second the 1st time I bet it won't be the last time at the time.

  • LOL I really like Jan Murray as host. Funny guy!

  • @ 7.05 the outside event.

  • Is it just me or does the theme music sound quite similar to the theme for "The Jack Benny Show"?

  • Thanks for noticing this. It certainly does sound similar.

  • Actually, there's another episode circulating with Dagmar guest-hosting.

  • Thanks, I just took a look at it. Really interesting. The information I included about the belief that this was the only surviving episode came from the site from which it was downloaded, archivedotorg. I'm glad to see another episode up!

  • Wow! I kinda knew how "Dollar a Second" was played. Now I've seen a full episode to know for sure. Thanks a bunch, Michael!

  • Lol. Pretty fast paced game show. I like Jan Murray as host.
