Tobacco/Nicotine is a great way to suppress sexual desires and is a well proven antipsychotic. Alcohol is a fantastic sedative used for millenia. Heroin works well for chronic pain. Methanphetamines were used by Nazi Germany on their elite soldiers. Caffiene stimulates the mind.

Doesn't matter. Nicotine, Heroine, And Meth are all dangerous drugs. Alcohol can be dangerous. In anycase, Hard drugs need to stay illegal. Tobacco will never be illegal though. To ingrained into society.

Benzenes, Aspartame, fluoride, bromides, chlorine and lead are all equally harmful substances that every American unavoidably consumes each day. The largest percentage of people who consume known harmful substances are not illegal drug users, they are ill informed consumers.
If voters can be made to agree with their own institutionalized poisoning, no law may logically infer that the same may not engage in voluntary intoxication.
Most drug offenders are imprisoned for victim-less crimes.

Well yea. I agree with the drug offenders. People using pot should not be imprisoned. That's just plain stupid. All those things that you mentioned though are consumed in levels that the body can handle. You don't hear of people overdosing on fluoride from water.
Still don't agree that hard drugs should be legal. They're dangerous and should be avoided. And help should be given to people who are caught with them instead of be given prison time.
